I'm sorry but he's not supposed to be going ANYWHERE on his wedding day without his wife! He's not Liz's doctor - the most he needs to do is call his mother for an update on her condition so that he can explain to his son that his mother is hurt but she's going to be fine. It's like he can never say no to Liz's drama, even as he just promised his wife to put her and his children first. BS writing him leaving his wedding to go check on Liz. Monica didn't call him and Michael obviously left without telling him like he was supposed to, because they can see where his priority should be today - why can't he?

I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree. Elizabeth is certainly not my favorite person, nor is she Jason and Sam's but she is Jake's mother and this was a genuine crisis not a premeditated ploy for attention. Normally Sam would have gone with him but Franco, the man who terrorized him and his wife on multiple occasions and still provokes them every chance he gets, is there and insists on being involved. I don't blame Jason for asking Sam to spend time with Spinelli instead because he doesn't want his family anywhere near Franco and assured her that he would be coming home to her as soon as he found out what was going on and was not only understanding but happy that they are all doing their best to make peace for the children's sake because understands that is him putting her and his children first. The ceremony is complete and the mother of one of his children is in critical condition. That is putting his child first. In no way has he broken his promise to make them a priority.

TheCjma88 I understand your point but I still disagree with him leaving. Jason takes Sam for granted all the time just because he knows she's strong enough to handle anything and she's an unselfish person. He was about to leave without giving it a second thought that it was Sam's wedding day and I still say he didn't have to. I could've probably seen if he was conflicted about leaving and Sam encouraged him to go (as we all know she would've), but he instantly up and left. Yes, Liz is Jake's mom and his friend and he cares about her, but she was not his priority that day, no way. Jake was fine. They would need to tell him his mom was hurt and would be ok, but Jason was not needed at the hospital, even if she was critical. He's not her next of kin, he's not her emergency contact, and he's certainly not her spouse. It's that same superman complex that he has towards Liz that leads to him hurting Sam all the time, albeit unintentionally. I guess we can agree to disagree on this one.

I guess we will have to but it is nice to be able to debate the matter in a civil and respectful way. I don't believe he did anything wrong and his "superman complex" as you call it doesn't extend to just Elizabeth. That's who Jason has always been. He is certainly not going to trust Franco to handle the situation which I can't fault him for after everything Franco has done and how little remorse he shows for his actions nor can I blame him for not wanting that creep around Sam or their new baby. Jason doesn't always make the right choice but I feel he gets a lot of heat that quite frankly he doesn't deserve, especially where Sam is concerned because she does understand and she does the exact same thing. They both get pulled in to the drama of those around them and do everything in their power to make it right. Don't get me wrong I would have loved to complete this day without her but it was a genuine emergency and those are never convenient. I feel that he has been putting Sam and the kids first and that this one decision does not undo that promise, but I respect your opinion as well.

I completely agree with you about him extending his services to anyone in need and it's one of the things I actually love about him - I just don't like that it extends so much to Liz and so often, and at the most inconvenient times for Sam. I also agree wholeheartedly about Franco and that comment he made about Jason ignoring Jake's mom when she was in trouble was completely uncalled for. He goes out of his way to provoke Jason and Sam and it needs to be dealt with. But the rest we have different viewpoints on. If it was after Jake had been told and he was upset and needed reassurance that his mom was going to be ok and Jase decided to go check or take Jake to see for himself, then I could say he was putting his child first and that's understandable, but to me, it's Liz that he just put first once again and I don't like it one bit. My girl Sam needs to be pampered on her wedding day, even if it's the second one lol. I don't even understand where her mom and sisters disappeared to so quickly. Who leaves the party before the bride and groom?? GH is slippin'.

why would jason give franco the time of day? and how many women would hang out with a man that kidnapped their son. remember franco kidnapped adain, trying to secretly adopt him. not to mention everything else he did to jason, sam and everyone he cared about.
