To be fair, I don't think Global Edit has been a feature for 15 years, I think it was only added in CC 2019.

Go to “Select > Same” (and then choose the most relevant property specific to only the stars)

Out of curiosity, does the spiral at 5:20 follow the Golden Ratio? If not, is there a way of quickly creating a spiral that does, using that tool?

Is it possible to import a jpeg into illustrator and change some of the black text within the jpeg to white?

Hey good question. You'd need to convert the flat jpeg image into something editable eg. vector shapes. You could try the "Image Trace" feature under the "Object" menu, but would get the best result from redrawing the letters manually using something like the Pen Tool 👍

i'm using windows but the adding the control point to rotate the rectangle doesn't really seem working, by pressing the alt key it does allow you to add a rotate point but it doesn't seem to be as good as the manual control point given method. help pls...
