If you haven't already make sure the amp isn't on constant 12v - Usually headunits have a constant 12v and ignition on 12v. Proper install would have had the amp wired direct to battery and remote antenna wired to the amp's remote turn-on wire so it comes on when the headunit does. Also, All the wiring you pulled out is standard aeropro harnesses usually Car to ISO and ISO to Headunit to make installs simple and easy to change without splicing the factory harness so odd that they still did a bunch of splicing anyway. I've been tossing up between getting one of these or making one out of a raspberry pi for more customisation. Would love another vid later on your thoughts after couple months using it 👌

Thanks for doing this install video! I'm considering switching to one of these too. Couple of questions if you don't mind? How does the audio compare to your old head unit? Specifically for music? It seems you run an amp and a sub so I assume this is somewhat important to you. I run a rear and forward facing cam. The front sits just above the intercooler so I watch my front lip as I pull into parking spots. So I need to run dual video feeds into the head unit. I can't seem to figure out if this is possible with this unit? Did you manage to get this to work with yours?

My speakers have their own amp, so no difference in audio quality for me. Not too sure on the dual camera feed - haven’t gotten around to that one yet.

Does the colour of the surround trim match as well in your opinion as it looks from the video? It looks really good. I've been tempted to upgrade my old Android head unit to this one but had never seen a good photo or video until now. On a different note, it looks like this head unit includes analogue wires (possibly called key1 and maybe key2) for steering wheel controls? I've made a nice little SWC setup (with a different clock spring) for my Evo so don't want to lose that ability. I also have a few spare parts if you're interested in one.

Colour match is pretty much perfect, but I’m planning on painting/wrapping all the grey parts anyway! Idoing actually make a Bluetooth steering wheels control so I’ve been thinking about looking into that!

Any longer term reviews/updates on this? Still running just as fast? Did you fix the wired car play issue?

So far no problems and running the same! The wired setting works the same as the wireless which I was a little confused about, just have to plug it in and hit connect.

Which option did you select on aliexpress to get the factory gray color bezel? Gives option of ‘with can or without can’

I think can is a can bus connection option, I got it just for the sake of it - the factory grey fascia comes with both options I believe
