This was the first pro match I watched in person. I was sitting a few seats away from the booth, so I could hear Grady and Scott. If you watch at the very end, I walk by the camera. Thanks Mike for posting this match. Great memory for me!

I was watching this match and you can also see me at the end of the video lol We must've been sitting almost next to each other.! Anyways I loved hearing Grady again it has been a minute. I think he was the best and most interesting commentator to listen to. Definitely my favorite as I grew up listening to him and Incardona. I absolutely adored their banter and roasts of each others games. In a weird way they were bigger stars to me than the players. I wonder what Grady would've thought of the level of play in tn todays pool world.

First time I’ve heard Scott Smith do commentary. Not bad really. Keeps it real. I have a pic of him in my game room. RIP.

Knew Scott well. We lived in the same area for a long time. So fun to hang out with. Had so many stories

An awesome match, thanks accustats. The professor thought our world was too PC in 1999 😂…better days

Better days for who? What he said was inappropriate bro.

@@suewoo5 - better days for everyone in America 100%. Men women and children of all color. Better days for the UK. All of the west really. China was smothered even then but likely not nearly as much as now so even their normal citizens were probably better off. In Mexico the crtls were an issue but not as all encompassing. It was better days my friend. Better days indeed Hopefully we’ll be alive to see the world back together but likely not. It took centuries to get us this far gone and it will take generations to put it aright. Or maybe this is the final downward trajectory until the return. That’d be a thing to experience.

Second time I've seen Efren jump a ball
@boendahbandofficial862815 күн бұрын
Yes, I agree, it's just the jump shot that Efren can't master, I don't know if it's because his arm hurts or what, what I know is that Efren once said that the jump shot takes away the characteristic of playing billiards.
@rogerscottcathey15 күн бұрын
@boendahbandofficial8628 : Well in his prime he had no shoulder issue and he still didn't jump. I think his full cue jumping ability was fine, but any jump comes with too much chance. He was more confident in his knowledge of the angles from the years he devoted to playing only three bank carom.
@boendahbandofficial862815 күн бұрын
@@rogerscottcathey I agree, he doesn't need a jumping technique... because he already knows all the angles of the table points. are there any lines in his eyes? hahaha like a game cheat in 8 ball pool😂

Same here. The other time, he did a jump draw on the 1 against Johnny Archer in a game of 10 ball and came out perfectly on the 2. Lol.

The announcing in the 90s was so egoistic and funny. All they did was guess their shot layout while being wrong half the time 😂

I love Scott Smith and Grady too. Grady constantly and painfully talks over Scott so much throughout this match it made it hard to watch at times for me.
