I've been in bands since the seventies and have never played with a drummer who ever played this.Not that they couldn't, it's just that as a non-drummer I'd have thought this would be up there with Stairway to Heaven or Smoke on the Water as a go-to soundcheck riff

Hi.Lesson good, but I don't agree with everything.... Namely, in the video, Mick focuses with his left hand - that is, in my opinion the first stroke there are two eighth notes and accent the snare drum on the second eighth of the left hand. That is, as with the main bit of the chorus, when using cross-arm and high-hat played eighth. Sorry if that is wrong, but it seems to me so. Indeed, this is one of the brilliant, memorable bits of rock, and most importantly , that it is at first glance simple, like all talented.

I would say so. I hear this song as a fast shuffle, so I would say it's definitely played with triplet feel. If you have trouble hearing it then play the original recording at half speed and you will clearly hear the shuffle feel.
