Been wearing the Bare XF for a month now and they rock! Perfect transitional shoe for those looking to get into minimalist/barefoot. Loving the boomerang footbed - added cushion and comfort for box jumps and plyo. My foot type is flat, narrower heel, and wider toe box which = Bare XF. My workouts consist of WODs, CrossFit, Lifting, and overall functional fitness and they work for all. I do not recommend putting a lot of running miles on them but for sprints and short distances, they do the job. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Super informative and thorough, subscribed! One thing reviewers never say is how the outsole performs in wet weather and slippery surfaces. I know some shoes if im walking over a metal portion of ground it will slip when wet and could cause injury. Whereas other shoes perform much better on slicker surfaces.

I need some advice: I'm looking for a waterproof barefoot trail shoe to use for golf. The vivo all weathers are only water resistant at best. The only other one that exists that I know of is the xero mesa trail WP. Am I missing something or is there a HUGE gap in the market here? Currently golfing in the true 1.2's, but the stack height is a little more than I'd like and the upper is super rigid.
@thatfitfriend3 ай бұрын
Not a lot of waterproof options out there - you're def not missing anything. Question, have you thought about waterproofing them yourself? Could try applying something on the Vivos to see if that helps a bit? Could also try a Trail Knit FG then waterproof em yourself. Will get more aggressive slugs then to prevent slip!
@aarondrossart60263 ай бұрын
@@thatfitfriend I've thought about waterproofing them myself (or applying extra waterproofing to the vivo all weathers). A lot of the diy methods are either filled with PFAS, or don't really work that well. Do you think they run true to size? I have feet that are almost wide according to hoka style etc. I ordered a 10 but may need a 9 or 9.5. I wanted another pair of intermediate barefoot shoes. I'm leaning to the Lems Primal 3. I need a shoe that has decent traction to prevent sliding on concrete or laminate flooring and a little cushion. Do you have several brands that you could reccomend? Which barefoot shoes have the most durable, long lasting soles?

Inov8 Bare XF tend to do great, so do Lems models and certain Vivo models like the Motus Strength. It really depends what you're after, though, and how you plan to use them. What are you main asks?

I don't like Origo's, I've had both a leather and canvas one and the soles start separating on the side after less than a month, waste of money for how quickly they fall apart

@@ImJustStandingHere have you reached out to them to get them replaced? Anything like that within a few weeks should be covered

Anyone like wearing barefoot shoes for CrossFit? I’m still debating. For jumping it’s definitely a lil hard for my feet and legs.

Do you wear socks with your barefoot shoes?
@thatfitfriend7 ай бұрын
I rotate depending on what I'm doing. I'll typically reach for some thin no-show socks like the Motee and Zconia that I've reviewed here on the channel. Cheap, breathable, and tend to last a while! I'll go sockless on warmer day or when the barefoot shoe fits more sock-like like the Tolos/Inov-8 Bare XF
