Im new to the CTX just got one and working on figuring out the settings.. any tips?
@ctxprospector88837 жыл бұрын
Oh awesome! Very exciting! I'd suggest keeping it simple in the beginning - meaning, using the preset settings. I use the stock "Coin" mode and "Beach" Mode. If in saltwater, do check the saltwater option. I use the "coin" mode most of the time whether on the beach or not. So with that said, get out there and start to learn the machine! After time, it will become a real metal detecting tool. I remember when it just all "clicked" for me and the CTX became something like a metal detecting prosthetic! You'll learn coins really fast; Nickels ring 12:13, Dimes ring 12:44, Quarters ring 12:46, and pennies depending on zinc or copper ring 12:42ish. Any of the coins that could have 90% silver will ring slightly higher than above. (may even get a 13 for conductivity with silver targets) I mostly hunt by numbers and repeating stable signals. Love to see you get out there and show us some of your hunts! Thank you! Jason

jeff wooddog - Hello Jeff! Once the new battery is installed in the WM-10 the WM-10 has a mini-usb charging port. It’s on the top of the unit under the rubber flap. 👍🏻

Hi ctx prospector, can you share your settings , i am struggling with my ctx , by the way Nice videos!!

Hello Rich! Congrats on your CTX, with time you are really going to experience it's magic! I usually use the pre-programmed modes of Coin and Beach. I switch between them to try to really get an understanding of what I'm possibly detecting. I go manual sensitivity if the ground will allow me, cranking it up until it starts to false regularly. Sometimes if the ground is problematic with lots of falsing, I just use the "A" auto sensitivity and set it to +3, and see how it goes. I also like to use target trace. I use the stock tones and have learned the machine with this "Stock" settings. Don't sweat the settings. Use a stock program and if in or near saltwater, yes - turn the saltwater option on. Other than that, time in the game is going to help you the most. You'll gain confidence in your CTX and it will become a true extension of your senses! Happy Hunting and GL! Jason
