You forgot to mention that applicants MUST not lie. That is the easiest way to get rejected. The interviewer can read body language and can easily tell when you are lying. Be honest and make sure that you look the interviewer straight in the eye, maintain eye contact always. If an applicant does not know an answer to a question, say so and do not try to make things up. Good luck.

@@OgunsusiDamilare-fq5lz I was asked 3 quick questions about my major, my sponsor, and my scholarship in less than 2 mins. I recommend giving full answers that capture the attention of the VO and give context to yourself. For example; my first question about the major. I answered by mentioning the major and my desired specialization. I also mentioned that I have an undergrad degree in Architecture and I'm looking forward to getting my advanced degree in Landscape Architecture. I saw the smile on the VO's face. Good luck!

Please what do u mean by 'Major'
@AmaraOsuji
@AmaraOsuji Жыл бұрын
@@MadubuezeChiomaWinifred-op5so this means your general course of study for example Chemical Engineering, English, Biology etc. In most cases, these majors have different areas of specialization so different people in the same major might have different concentrations.

Hello Amara, am chama from Gambia. I got GA scholarship and loan from Mpower financing to exhaust the deficit. How can I answer the question of funding when asked?
@AmaraOsuji
@AmaraOsuji Жыл бұрын
Hi. You should say things exactly as they are. Say you have partial funding from a graduate assistantship and the deficit will be covered by an Mpower loan. Ensure to go with all documents associated with the loan such as an acknowledgment slip, loan repayment plan etc. Also prepare to answer questions about how you plan to repay the loan. Good luck.

For this, you just need to emphasize that you will be returning to your home country after your studies. That's the primary way to show home ties.

Informative content amara, please I stated my husband as a dependent, however he’s also sponsoring my education and living expenses. Please is it possible for the same person to be a dependent and a sponsor at the same time?
@AmaraOsuji
@AmaraOsuji Жыл бұрын
Hi. This is a tricky situation. I feel like this situation might raise questions because if he’s listed as your dependent then I assume he’ll also try to get an F2 visa. There might then be the issue of the visa officer wondering how he’ll be able to support your studies.
@Bibi_Aderemi

Yes but he won’t be traveling with me, he would apply after a few months. It’s advisable to look for another sponsor right? And deficit is 26k
