Do u apply in ur country before going to the US, or whem u are already in the US? I asked because u mentioned attending programs with the intended department in order to get an applcation waiver.

Hi. I'm not sure. You should ask the graduate admissions office of the institution you're applying to. They'll have the most accurate information concerning this.

Please answer me if you can see this. U seem very enlightened on this topic. I've been contemplating on the best country to study in with the least. I'm asking this question because I don't have any relative outside of the country and I am praying and hoping to be the first one to study abroad after getting my degree a a year from now.

The definition of "best country" depends on you and what you're looking for. What I can tell you is that the US almost always has the most amount of funding available. So, if you're looking to be partially or fully funded, consider looking into schools in the US.

saying you submitted only 1 application to the school of your choice does not make one ineligible for F1 visa. I will advise candidates to stcik to their own stories. There is no one fit for all answers for F1 visa. All these are opinionated.

@AmaraOsuji

Just answer concisely. If they ask if you’re going to a certain university, that’s a yes or no answer. If they ask you what university you’re going to, then tell them in one simple sentence. No need to complicate things.

Thank you Amara for the video. I have a question. What do you advise in a case where one already has a masters degree and applying for another masters in a related program. It’s completely up to you and how you package your application. You could include it and explain what gap you’re planning to fill with the new Masters degree that you didn’t quite get with the other degree. You could also decide to leave it out. Completely up to you.

Great job, as always, Amarachi. In addition: 1. Always remember to check the comprehensive FAQ sections. This will not only save your time but also make you feel more informed and resourceful before reaching out to the grad or program coordinators. 2. Remember, it's not just about applying, it's about making a strong, tailored impression. So, avoid applying to multiple schools with the same SOP and CV. This will make you feel more proactive and prepared for each application. 3. Avoid asking graduate coordinators to waive basic requirements like GRE (Graduate Record Examination) and TOEFL/IELTS (Test of English as a Foreign Language/International English Language Testing System) for you. These tests are standard measures of your academic and language proficiency, and there are other institutions out there that waive it for you. 4. Stop relying on the general acceptance rate you see on Google. Programs have specific acceptance rates, and grad schools are always competitive. Strengthen your application always.
