deer cannot chew through this pre stretch fencing in my experience they only have useable teeth on their lower jaw with a soft pad on the front of the top jaw (except muntjac CWD tusks) their rear grinding teeth cant be used. the reason to use galv wire on deer farms is to protect the animals as the entire length is tensioned like a long vertical trampoline. exclusive fencing does not suffer the same pressure and we use this fencing for remote plantation protection very effectively.

is this fence dog proof?

Our Metal Hexagrid Fencing is dog proof. Our Polypropylene fencing can be chewed through by large and determined dogs and can also be prone to digging-related damage at the bottom.

jonathan leonard tenax makes one that's not metal that's for dogs. I'm about install a 5' one myself. I have 2 pitbulls. I'm only using the netting, t posts, zip ties and 6" galvanized sod pins or weed barrier pins, these are some names they're called when you go to buy them. I got 200 for $15 on Amazon. I'm able to use 2 smaller oak trees and a steel clothes line t post as my corners so I'll be able to do it myself. I'm 55 and female. My dogs do not stay outside all the time though. I have a doggie door and they go out play and do their business. A lot of times they just hang out on the deck, lay in the Sun or hang out in their pool in the summer. The best thing about these kind of fences is that they are not climbable. If a dog tries to climb these fences it flips them off and with the stakes pinning them to the ground there are a lot harder to try to go under. One of my dogs is a puppy and he's a chewer, so I'll have to watch him. I've decided to mix a batch of alum, hot sauce and whatever sort of yuckies I can in my sprayer and spray the fence down if he starts to chew! The difference in the 200' and 330' was $5!! Yes $5! So I got the 330', obviously, I will have extra to patch and double up areas if needed!
