I must say taking an actual new inexpensive piece and making it rusted is brilliant. I know to each there own but it breaks my heart every time I see a good vintage/antique piece destroyed beyond repair to make it updated when they could take a cheap new piece instead and get the same results. I really do get folks changing tastes, however many pieces I see redone are actual antiques worth way more than people realize. Liked you waxed metal basket idea too.

Years ago there was a DIY program where the host used a lot of cement huge bowls , planters etc to use as holders for food. She used bowls of course but placed them in the planters that were all different heights and sizes. She used white linen table cloths draped over a long farm table, outside, with tall green bushes as her backdrop. The entire table was in white, cement and touches of green. Gorgeous!!!!

Hello Miss Julie hope all is good blessing to you and fam. I was so excited to see you do the color removal from the glass bottle. If your having a hard time removing color just continue to soak it some more I use a ( and dilute decreaser I buy from SAMS CLUB( I dilute it)if the color is stubborn and let it soak for a couple of days but dont give up I wish you could see the huge collection I have collected and should get rid of according to my husband but they are so beautiful like all of your creations 🤗so please give it a try again I know you will love the results. OH one more thing make sure you try to use the hot water that first comes out the water hose(during the summer)😉Sacramento gets really dry heat helps too.
