I was a kid of the 80s and when I asked my doctor why I had to shots, she explained the immune system in terms I could understand; He-Man vs Skeletor. The body has defenses to keep us healthy, an army of He-Men protecting the realm and there are outside forces that attack the body, an army of Skeletors. Shots were the Sword of Power, giving He-man more power to fight Skeletor. This made perfect sense to me, and I went into the biomedical field when I grew up.

That's primarily due to the fact that, although Mattel can still make action figures of both siblings & those around them, the fact that Sony Pictures has a hold of the _He-Man_ half of the MOTU franchise whilst Dreamworks owns rights to the _She-Ra_ portion of it sadly prevents the twins from reuniting on-screen (even if names like Eternia & Grayskull can still be used on Etheria for the revitalized _She-Ra_ -- with that said, we might as well add pretty much everyone from the LGBTQ+ 2018 reboot made by ND Stevenson to the list of characters who know the dual identity of Adora as She-Ra [Huntara: "Wait! You know about She-Ra?" Adora: ~chuckles~ "[Do I] _know_ about She-Ra? Ok so listen, this is great. I grew up in the 80s. I use to watch this show amongst others religiously. I knew there was a story but I didn't know it was that deep. Your video, 13 criminally underrated 90s cartoons that ended to soon, appeared on my feed today. Watched it and decided to look for the next published video. I was in shock to find out how many videos the channel has. That video was from a year ago! I was was scrolling down for minutes. I gave up. Didn't know the channel has over 4 thousand vids. So good. When i looked into the keldor/subeternian origins, Keldor was originally mentioned in a comic series where adam and randor established that his brother keldor was a powerful sorcer who was lost in another dimension after attempting further hone his powers by traveling a dark dimension and ended up trapped there. It was revealed in the issue that every year on the anniversary of his disappearance break between the dimensions. Learning that they intended find keldor skeletor plotted to stop them from finding him. When the story was canceled it was implied the writters decided to intregrate elements into skeletors origin.

I, too, was very disappointed in both the He-Man Revelation series, and the new She-Ra and the Princesses of Power series to have there was like no connection between Adora and her parents. The new series never mentioned where the Sword of Protection came from. It was just found in the Whispering Woods somewhere? I have the entire series of She-Ra Princess of Power from the Filmation Series and I thought it was great. I think the producers did a really fantastic job making the Horde SheRa’s villains. The character of Lighthope was under used and could’ve been used more the way the Sorceresses was used a lot more in the He-Man series. So I’m hoping when the new sequel HeMan Revolution that Adora gets at least mentioned in the hopes that they have a sequel to the She-Ra Princess of Power series. For The Honor of Grayskull!

Blame licensing issues, Noel Steven's was allowed to use Adora, but my guess was Adam and skeletor were not allowed to be referred, though in a couple episode scenes we see her in a crib with a twin brother and that she hailed from Eternia. Eternia gets named dropped, but implied that the first ones who visited both worlds left technology on both worlds. Also the seriesfinale Hordak remembers being eternia holding adora after having kidnapped her.

Couldn’t have used She-Ra in Revelations due to the current She-Ra series going on at the time. Different production companies and all that. It is heavily implied that in the Princesses of Power that this is not the first She-Ra. That leaves them open for this not being the same Adora from the original series. We could be looking at another She-Ra centuries after the one from the 80’s. Even Hordak is a clone.

Because both the original '80s series & especially its LGBTQ+ 2018 reboot wanted to be successful without necessarily needing to ride the coattails of her big brother's original series. Unfortunately for the 1985 original, that's basically what she did, since He-Man repeatedly appeared in _She-Ra: Princess of Power_ to give his sister's show a much-needed boost & to help his own waning popularity due to other popular franchises taking the core audience's attention away from the MOTU (Turtles, Transformers, Ghostbusters, G.I. Joe, etc. each all played a role in the diminishing returns of the MOTU IP once Adam's twin sister was introduced). Thankfully, for the 2018 reboot, She-Ra was able to stand on her own without needing her big brother to show up & unintentionally make her feel like a second banana in her own show.

But unfortunately, it was terribly boring, totally void of humor, the soundtrack is awful and doesn't fit, the animation is decent at best, and they made half of the characters complete idiots. I gave up on it around season 3 or 4. It's too bad. She-Ra deserved better.

No. Probably because in the 2018 reboot, Catradora became canon instead, whereas Sea Hawk simps for Mermista. As for the 1985 original, while Adora did have a romantic relationship of sorts with Sea Hawk, their relationship was a love triangle between Adora X Sea Hawk X Catra, because Sea Hawk, like Adora before him, worked for The Horde so he could continue his adventures unabated, but eventually, Adora recruits him to the side of the heroes when he finds out that Hordak has no intention of honoring the agreement they reached when The Horde first began using Sea Hawk as a distributor of weapons.

It never set right with me how the classic series treated Teela. Her father Man-At-Arms aka Duncan 😆never told her that Sorceress was her mother and the Sorceress agreed to not tell her either. Prince Adam also told everyone his secret except Teela and his parents. The fact Adam not only told a cowardly talking cat but also told that bumbling clown Orko was doubly insulting to Teela that he would not tell her his secret. The parent thing was on them other folks. Teela had the perfect combination to become a villain with all these people who were so called friends all lying to her. If I could write a movie for them, I would make Skeletor the 1st threat with a cutscene showing Teela going rogue. Maybe play with the character origins like a lot of Mike Bays films. Example how Jazz had Mirages powers and abilities and how Bumblebee took over Wreck-Gars gimmick of talking through the radio. I would have Teela become Evil Lynn. I am supprised we dont see Adora and Catras child referenced in this video as post story elements established Adora and Catra adopt a non gender binary child years later after marrrying. While I can't judge either of the recent _He-Man_ reboots since I haven't seen either (although the reviews I've read about Kevin Smith's _Revelations_ series aren't good, despite the excellent art style that particular reboot takes), I have watched the 2018 _She-Ra_ reboot & despite the ongoing friction between the LGBTQ+ show runners of _She-Ra & the Princesses of Power_ and bull-headed fans of the 1985 original who hate any kind of change whatsoever, I actually quite enjoyed the rebooted She-Ra and liked the updates done to the characters ND Stevenson made. But of course, I also realize that the upcoming purported live-action _She-Ra_ series supposedly in the works by Dreamworks and Amazon will NOT be maintaining the continuity of the 2018 _She-Ra_ reboot and will instead be its own thing entirely. Just so long as it's not an obvious cash grab like the Dolph Lundgren _He-Man_ film of the late '80s/early '90s, I am cautiously optimistic.
