I love my 2017 corvette c7 with a manual. 3.7-3.8 sec 0-60. it’s the manual that makes it way more fun than the 0-60 time
@realtalk46892 ай бұрын
0-60mph is only one way to determine speed. You also have top speed, half mile, one mile, two mile and lap time. I personally find lap times to be most relevant to me. The Dodge Viper ACR to this day still holds the lap record at the Nurburgring for stick shift (we’re talking since 2017, let that sink in).
@LibertyDrives2 ай бұрын
That's fair, I like talkin 0-60s cause I feel like the acceleration from 0 is somethin people get to enjoy easiest and safest, and it's usually loudest lol. I do love me an ACR though!

I couldn't imagine my Camaro without a V8 and Manual transmission so fun to drive and never gets old in my opinion.

Hate that in Canada every car mentioned is a good 20-30K more expensive and less reliable considering the winter and salt. Many are 10 years old selling at MSRP still.
@LibertyDrives2 ай бұрын
Jeez :/ come on over to the states for a little car-finding trip! (probably don't actually listen to me, I don't know what bringing a car back to Canada would require lol)
@safwanmalik32 ай бұрын
@@LibertyDrives unfortunately I’ve looked into it and it’s probably not a better deal. The Canadian dollar is $1.33 per US dollar and then we have to pay fees and several duty fees that are roughly $3K on average, plus 13% on taxes and an additional 8% provincial taxes for both on the value of the car (not the price purchased). So a deal in the US is just more taxes. Fuck Canada.

If you think the Dark Horse is slow, wait until you hear about the EU version with 450 horses. I drove one and it's definitely not slow, but compared to the Mk6 it's no leap
@LibertyDrives2 ай бұрын
Wooow lol, I didn't know they took some power away for the EU version, that's rough. I actually like the front a decent amount and they seem like good cars (minus the ipads) but I can't imagine spending 60k for one

I have a 6th gen ZL1 in auto. It’s fast but I would like to trade it for a 6spd. I’d lose a little speed but the car is fast enough. Nice video.

0-60 MPH has very little to do with performance, all about the launch. A better indication of performance is 60-130 MPH.

when i was in the market for a new car last year my criteria was this: -manual -V8 - engine can be modified -no older than 2017 -tech -decently optioned out -no more than $45k OTD i looked at camaros, vettes, mustangs, bmws etc. i dont really like camaro interiors so that was a no. i didnt want a 7 speed so a vette was a no, and i didnt want to deal with bmw maintenance so i started looking at mustangs. i originally wanted a GT350 but i heard the VOODOO didnt like boost so that was out the picture (also, alot of the cheap ones were high mileage for what they were being priced at). i even looked at S197s. found a decent mileage 2014 gt500 in the color i like but it was just a tad too expensive. i then looked at mach 1s since they replaced the gt350. not only did i not find any around me specced the way i wanted it, they were also hella expensive. so that was a no. i then looked at regular GTs. there were tons of options but i wanted one specifically optioned out. i eventually just settled on a basic ass GT that was a manual and had a digital dash. before i could even get it, they moved it to another location in cali and i was annoyed but didnt care. so i looked at their website again and saw a BEAUTIFUL 2022 mustang gt premium in grabber blue (my favorite color and the one i wanted), fully optioned out and manual. i rushed my ass over to the dealer and later that night i left i with it. btw, the car had 9.3k miles and was about 40K-ish OTD. funny thing too is the previous owner was a sales person at the dealer and he had recently traded it in for a Dark Horse mustang

Just more proof everything happens for a reason man, that sounds awesome! I'm kinda with you on the Camaro interiors, the layout just isn't my style but I love the cars otherwise. That GTs got a TON of potential and as is it's a great car

The darkhorse matches the base vette...the vette has more torque, better aero,and 800 lbs less weight,with a larger engine....so I guess your attempt at insulting the dark darkhorse FAILS👎🏽 You know nothing about comparing vehicles.
@LibertyDrives7 күн бұрын
It wasn't meant to be a full blown insult attempt, but you made it sound worse than I did lmao: a 15+ year older base model has more torque and better aero than a brand new, top trim (aside from Shelbies)... I think the weight was the only valid point against the comparison because the Mustang is safer and has more features that justify the weight
@mars73572 ай бұрын
Damn sucks you only talk about American cars cause I’d rather get a bmw m4 or m3 then any of these cars imo

Yeah I've considered going into European or JDM stuff too but I kinda enjoy the detail I'm able to go in with these with only American cars. I also naturally gravitate more towards American performance cars than foreign ones under $100k, those are still awesome options though!
