I have used the spin pins for years! Love them! I just cut 10" off my hair to your length and they work great still! I use them for my messy bun after the pony tail holder I spread it around and then put a spin pin THROUGH the pony tail holder to keep it secure but looking very loose!

@Sgwtmsb_2228 жыл бұрын
They're all great! I've used almost all of them except the braiding ones since I already know how, but my favorite ones are the screw Bobby pins... Always Super secure the only bad thing is that they end up in another dimension just like my regular Bobby pins and all my elastics.. Lol
@kristine98235 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad I found this! I have hair your length in front but shortening to very short in back, which most of the time I love but every once in a while I miss my braids. I can braid all the way to the back but the can't get an elastic around, but the EZ braider would let me lock it off and the tuck it up just like you did. Thanks for reviewing these! Also, I've seen a mini version of those corkscrew pins at Fred Meyers, I don't know if they're shorter than the regular ones, but they say "Mini"

U have helped my fine, thin, short hair so much in terms of volume! And I love this video, I actually own an E Z braider (the 1st one) and I love it! I also have a couple little pompadour things like u tried, except mine are little snap clips and the little sponge things are smaller and I love using it when I do a half up-do or a simple ponytail to add a little volume.

I agree with you about the W shaped hair pin. That thing was useless! I would like to see the pompadour used in a pretty style, as you said you might do. Maybe you've already done so I'll check around your other videos. My hair is mid length and I live in a very humid climate so I have to have my hair up during the summer. I usually just French braid it, which I learned how to do from you. I didn't care for the French braider wiggly braid support. I can't imagine what they're talking about when they say you could remove it once you've completed your braid. It's in your hair and a part of the braid! The curly screw ins thingys were really hard to use and didn't work for me.I do need to switch it up some which is why I watched this video. I'd like to try that big plastic long, curved stick pin type of thing. Love your videos, as always. Thanks.

It's probably already been mentioned, but you can get spin pins in a pack of three that are half length to the original. I have long thick heavy hair that is almost impossible to get into an updo without a zillion pins. The spin pins are an absolute life changer! I can get a bun to hold with only one spin and with two my hair is perfectly secure all day and all night!
@wanabee515 жыл бұрын
those spin pins are the bomb for long thick hair!
@Pamlandy26 жыл бұрын
Just a note, If you didn't know.....with a French braid, if you do it correctly (and even sometimes a messy one.) there is always a kind of tunnel underneath it that you can fold the end up into. So, say...for me, because I have longer hair, I put an elastic band at the end and fold it towards my head and tuck it up under the "tunnel". Sometimes I secure it with a couple of large bobbi pins. But sometimes I tie a ribbon to the end and feed it up through the tunnel to the top or crown of my head, one piece on either side of the French braid. Then I can pull it up tight so the single end part of the braid is tucked up under the tunnel. Then I take the ribbon ends which are now in the outside of the French braid at the crown of my head and tie a bow. This way, I know it it secure for, say.....sports or a hiking trip. If I go camping, I can leave it tied up this way for a week or two and don't have to mess with it. Anyway, its hard to explain, but is a bit of a safer way to hide the end than folding it to the outside abd securing with a bunch of bobby pins. I learned this when I learned to braid horses tails for shows, but ended up doing it for all the girls on my high school gymnastics team for competition. Either one braid down the back or one on either side of their head. (that left a soft spot in the middle of the back of their head for rolls on the balance beam.) I used ribbons with the school colors and they looked great and their hair was secure for the whole meet. I love French braids! I'm glad the tool works. Iv'e seen it in the store but wondered if it really was that easy to use without really seeing what you are doing. Looks like it is. Niiice!

I have suuuuper thick hair and the spin pins are the only thing I've ever found that will hold a bun for me. I still have to use bobby pins, but only like 4-6 instead of a whole pack! They're life savers!

Thank you for doing this video and for it randomly entering my recommended list. I'm in the CVS down the street a lot. I'm always taking my best friend to get new prescriptions. She's one of those "perpetually sick" types, so I'm always waiting for her to get through the line at the pharmacy and end up looking around the store. I see these products all the time, but I'm afraid to waste the money on something that's going to end up being a headache. This was a great video! Now I know what's going to work. I work in an office and I'm the type that's hot all the time when everyone else is freezing. I always end up putting my hair in a ponytail or a pencil bun and it gives me a headache after a while. It would be nice to have more options that are just as easy to throw together at my desk and these seem to fit the bill and might even be less irritating. So thank you for saving me a lot of time and money!

After wearing a bob for most of my adult life, I went from short hair to long all because of spin pins; they absolutely rock!!! I have really fine, straight hair that just couldn't be pinned and hold without a 100 pins, a professional hairdresser, and an hour of twisting, tucking, and shellacking my hair into a helmet--which still would only last a few hours! After all the usual teen mistakes with hair and fighting against nature most of my life, I decided a short bob was all I thought I could ever have, but about 6 years ago I had to do an updo for an event. I wasn't hopeful, but I decided to see if the intervening years had produced any advances and checked out the hair aisle, anyway. Boy, am I glad I did!!! Most women my age are cutting their hair shorter, but I went the opposite direction, encouraged by spin pins and the kinds of updo they support that I grew out my hair for the first time since college! They will work anywhere in your hair and will support any style you want. I've done some experimenting with unusual placement, and I can leave most of my long hair down and use the short pin just to put up little pieces over the temples and ears. I usually use 2 long pins when I put it all of my hair up into a bun or French roll in back, just to keep it well supported, but occasionally I've only used 1 and still had it hold all of it, just a little more loosely. Spin pins can help hold up the hair to help with the end results of all of these tools, and I frequently use them together!

I love the spin pins! I used to have super long hair and it's very thick and heavy and those were the only things that work for me. One of the spin pins replaces 20 bobby pins. If you have longer hair you have to tie it first before putting into a bun and it's awesome because it'll last all day and it's comfortable. Maybe they made the short ones after this video but they do make a shorter spin pin! I can't wait to try the first one!

Michaela Dusek try getting a short layered hair cut. It'll be similar to what she has as even I have got the same hair cut done

It's a straight/blunt cut. She then goes and gives my hair a little bit of layers throughout to give more volume and then textures my ends to give my entire look a more textured cut.

I just recently had my hair cut into a bob. I love how perfect your hair looks all the time. How do you keep your hair from getting oily looking? What shampoo and conditioner do you use? What’s your morning hair routine? I need help!

You're like THE BEST youtuber for people with short hair. Love your vids, they're really helpful and somehow you manage to create a great range of hairstyles. You're the short hair guru.

When I was little they used to sell those " easy bun" wrap around at our local pharmacy . I have heavy, thick, straight hair and I had a hard time getting my bun high/ tight enough, this little helper got it done in 5 minues. Now I have short hair (a little shorter than yours) and I use a pipe cleaner to get a mini bun. Love your hair tutorials , you have inspired me me to grow my hair from a very short bob to a medium bob. Thank you Milabu.

Yes, well here is the trick: secure ponytail with a Harland first then use the easy bun. For my half bun I secure it with a little clear hair tie and then a black pipe cleaner. Use a big pipe cleaner, fold in half, secure the ends and pull hair true the middle and then roll the bun and use then ends of the pipe cleaner to secure the bun like you would normally do with a hair elastic. I hope it makes sense.
