@@Kenishurapersonally prefer doing every coding by myself, not that I do not trust my group's skill but Im just too lazy to learn their code. Only downside of that is I have to explain everything when time comes, and they wont get the same scores.

Always prepare to presentations. "What we did" and "What we learned" because sometimes someone makes your project but 100 times better and they present moments before you. In those cases the real game is the friends you made along the way. Agile is all about pivoting.

i'll let you in on a little secrete. people who regularly partake in gamejams have 90% of their code per-written so they can just copy paste it into their idea. there is so much difference between games not. so if you have a large library of previous projects you can copy most of your work from there.

Oh, ive been to a similar in person game jam event (tho it was 40h) with a team of 3 (2 programmers, 1 audio).. we barely sleept (on the floor, bout 2-3h in total) didn't leave the building for 40h straight ... but we got 1st place 💀worth it

oh nice that this is in my recommendation again. This is the video that inspired me to learn game dev (again) and participate in game jams. I join 2 jams, wanted to join the 3rd, but burn out happened. No regrets! Learned a lot, it was fun. Reading nice comments and feedbacks are always uplifting.

you should always fetch the develop branch before adding new code to your branch. this way the dev that made the code solves the conflict. and you will have no problem.

Well, its seems like you learn a few things with this experiencie, but the most important is DONT USE GIT WITH UNITY IF PEOPLE ARE GONNA WORK ON THE SAME FILES, ONLY FOR NEW THINGS LIKE SCRIPTS,SCENES, OBJECTS AND SOUNDS, there are better program for unity than git (plastic scm for example)

I cant remember how many games I have ruined because of git. The easiest thing you can do is make a gitignore file and a gitattributes file. Will save a lot of space from the project and make conflicts rare(er)
