9 km of UNDERGROUND kayakking in the tunnel of Brussels river

On monday May 30th we lowered our kayaks a couple of meters underground to go kayakking for 9 km underground on the river Senne. The river is hidden in a concrete tunnel that passes underneath the city. The goal of our action was to show the presence of the river and denounce the dumping of 10 million m3 of polluted sewage water every year into the river and canal in Brussels.
It was an impressive and calm experience at the same time.
