You guys need to think from a wrestling business perspective: Butcher & Blade are already over with the fans. You give a push to someone you're trying to get over, trying to make people care about. B&B is like Danhausen; they don't need to win in order to sell merch or attract views; them winning or losing isn't going to change their popularity. Besides, right now the Acclaimed is healthy and so ridiculously popular there's no need to replace them or even put them in a feud with another over tag team, which is why they're feuding with Gunn Club, trying to give them a little rub. Right here, B&B gave Top Flight a little rub. It's all business, folks.

Man, I absolutely LOVE Hobb’s new finisher. Finally he’s got something that actually looks super powerful and impactful, so,etching that I think has been his missing piece. It’s not a burning hammer though, even though they keep calling it that. BH impacts on the back of the neck, not in a front bump. Not sure what to call this thing, but it looks just as impactful, and more importantly a hell of a lot safer.

@@James-if3kc You're kind of twisting yourself in knots now, if they're already as unsalvageable as you say then its even less of a 'burial' to have them lose, especially in a competitive match to a team that beat the Young Bucks the other week and have a title match on Thursday, not that it would be anyway. It's naive at best to assume you can't rebuild an act in wrestling anyway, Drew McIntyre went from a comedy geek to a main eventer, Bradshaw went from a nothing tag team wrestler, which he'd been for years and years one week to a main eventer as JBL the next, Ricky Starks went from being squashed in quick matches by Hook and Hobbs to holding his own with the world champion, Sami Zayn went from a feud with Jonny Knoxville to Roman Reigns in the space of a year, strong booking is all it takes to get someone back as an act people should care about, it's rarely ever too late.

White is not very good at commentary especially when it comes to talents he is not strongly familiar and definitely not with Japanese talents. Which makes it questionable why they would have him commenting specifically on the shows that often have people on it that he has no idea about. He has improved since he first started but still, I hate to say it...as I definitely respect all the work he has done within professional wrestling but specifically as a commentator...his commentary tends to make me want to not watch/close the KZbin window.

I realize my post is a bit harsh as again, White has grown in leaps and bounds in his commentary from his initial start and we all make mistakes, although I do hope that commentators can try to get names right and basic knowledge of the folks they are meant to commentate about. It comes across better in all ways. Also for the commentary to actually focus on the match that is happening and hyping it, adding context to it and not talking over it about things that are completely extraneous to the match. Of course inside jokes and back and forth is great but it needs to be balanced properly and that of course is a very difficult thing to do

Interesting to see Menard have a match before going to the commentary booth. Great to see Paul Wight handle it by himself though, definitely gotten better on commentary than when he started.

I've been catching up on missed Elevation/Dark episodes for the last few days...and with today's episode, I'm all caught up! Though I really only watch for the beautiful AEW women, so wasn't exactly a chore! Now to business...what stood out about the women in this episode? Skye Blue and Marina Shafir... Skye Blue. It was very subtle, but we might be seeing the beginning of growth in her character. In a previous comment, I noted that she's got so much going for her (young, hot, army of simps on social media, etc.). But that couldn't translate because of the flat "g-rated" characterization. But in this episode, we see her showing more tenacity - and in the climax of the match a nice "shades of grey" outburst (entering the ring illegally and essentially costing her team the match). Again subtle...but I hope they can add this "hot head" behavior as a feature of her character. A little spice to balance out the overly sweet presentation. Marina Shafir. Again, very subtle. But I thought there was a great shot of Marina reacting to Skye Blue getting flattened by that heavy Sumo person early in the match. Given all the growing pains Marina's had...people will be too biased or "smart" to appreciate this. But every wrestler should learn from her. She was paying attention to the in-ring psychology, treated the action like it was real, and it resulted in that great close-up and reaction shot. I also appreciate the way Marina moves when hit - it's this staggering motion that reinforces the strength of her character, but makes you feel like there's a momentary "opening" where she could be vulnerable. I think that unique motion/movement comes from her MMA background - and we forget that unlike most "wrestlers", she's actually been in combat and experienced its stresses (something the announce team should find a way to emphasize more).

I really liked another beautiful episode of AEW Dark Elevation and my favorite matches are the following: Yuka Sakazaki vs Billie Starkz a great match between two excellent athletes and for me Yuka Sakazaki is the future ring of honor woman's world champion 🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥 Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends vs Chaos Project and Zack Clayton I really liked it also nice trios match and Best Friends and Orange Cassidy together are in favor I love them 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🍊🍊🍊🍊🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 The Butcher and The Blade vs Top Flight a great tag team match I really enjoyed and both Top Flight and The Butcher and The Blade are future AEW world tag team champions 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta together they are fantastic I have them loved them in this main event match against Ari Daivari and Tony Nese in this tag team match they are a great team I love them obviously I'm talking about Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤Skye Blue ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥

Good episode of Elevation. Ngl but even if its an Elevation exclusive thingy, Dalton and his boys joining the Dark Order could actually work for both teams since well they do be comedic yet still able to go and win so they'd play off well of each other. On another topic but Billie Starkz had a good match for someone of her young experience and ngl but the whole botched frontflip legdrop (imma call it that since idk what the move is exactly) could actually land her a temporary spot if they play to her being afraid of trying the move due to how she could've injured Yuka with it and that could probs worry someone as young as Billie in kayfabe. Maybe they can have essentially Athena, who used Diamante's services to try getting a benefit, use Billie to get an easier defense of her title and if Billie gives some problems play off to the frontflip legdrop almost causing an injury to make her hesitate as a tactic of Athena who then wins. It could be an Elevation/Dark exclusive story lol. All in all, this one botch might actually give Dark and Elevation a simple yet workable story and maybe test how Billie could do in a title feud while building to Athena's heelness haha.
