I used 180C (360F) for 9 minutes uninterrupted in my Phillips XXL with some pure ground grass fed beef. They were perfect. My wife insisted I cut one open one to check that it was done on the inside as well. Out squired juices for about 4 inches. The air fryer had seared and sealed all sides simultaneously locking in the flavourful juices. It’s a superior result.

The “pink” grill marks are because those are the surfaces where no air is flowing. That tray won’t work to make real marks. You need an insert “wire grate” that the burgers sit up on so the air can flow thoroughly over the burger surface.

@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for Watching! I haven’t tried that before, although I think you could try in the last 2 minutes, let me know how it works
@susieq87524 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, I added raw sliced onions on top of the cooked burger for 2 mins but it didn’t carmelize so I cooked it for another 3 mins. At that point the burger overcooked and was dry and the onions that slid off the burger onto the pan carmelized. So I think it’ll be best to put the onions on the pan rather than on the burger. We’ll flag me if you add onions next time.

Do you have the bottom of that lined with paper AND the grill accessory? No wonder it took 10 minutes to cook a medium burger lol You're not supposed to cover the bottom of an air fryer like that. the air needs room to circulate, including from underneath.

Too much checking and turning, the insert you got is worthless for marks, those tiny holes got clogged with burger fat and doesn't allow the super heated air to go get under, it's why you had perfect raw burger strips the width of the insert grates when you first flipped,, if you want marks just use the raised insert that came with it, but really who cares, just put them in for 10 minutes and leave them alone. I don't do grills so not sure why you think that, nobody I know grills, it's one of those food network myths.
