I did my first baby shower by myself. I had so much fun. It turned out so nice. I made a scrap book for the memories. It was 18yrs ago and I still from time to time love to relive those precious moments. My last baby shower my husband did everything and he did an amazing job. Decorating, cooking, hosting the works. My last pregnancy I was treated to a shopping spree and dinner with my besties and closest family members. You did a beautiful job. And you looked absolutely gorgeous on your special day ❤ congrats on your precious baby ❤

It’s not that your vision could not come to life but the point of the baby shower is for you as mom to be to relax and be showered. As black women we are superwomen but sometimes it’s ok to take off the cape. I also understand we like to nest when we are about to deliver but I stand on my comment that you should have been showered but I also understand your perspective. Whether it’s your fourth child or not be pampered as your ushering life into this world and be ok with sharing your vision with others so that you can focus on bringing in life. I’m a picky woman and this is my first babyshower out of 4 children and i wanted to do it myself and that is perfectly fine because it was my choice. I was pampered clearly as shown in the video and it plenty of white women on this app decorating and hosting their babyshower go to their comments and tell them as a white woman to not plan and decor their shower. As a black woman other black women always try to tell other black women what to do and how to do it with judgement. You missed my point and made this a race thing but think twice before telling another black woman what she should or shouldn’t do.
