I have been watching your videos for about a month now after getting my first controller ( NuMark Mixstream +) The content on your channel has been a HUGE help in giving me creative perspective on how to approach DJing!! Its inspired me so much that only after a month I have decide to post my practice sessions of live mixes to sort of document the process and progression of someone starting from Day 1 to hopefully one day someone who can call themselves a "Professional DJ" Your videos are a huge source of inspiration to beginner DJs like me and content like this is the glue that keeps communities like this together! Thank you so much for this impressive Video and the good tips! I´m a DJ since about 14 Years and i recognized that i have really a problem now with my blowed up music collection. It will be much work the next days / month. But i think it is very helpful! I just added the tip with opener, warmup and primetime. What i added too is a comment like "MAIN". Because i´m playing in a club and on many weddings. For weddings it´s the main. Thats what you can play for the "big crowd" and everyone knows this song from radio etc....

All of these tips are 100% facts. Just avoid hording music. if you just want to have the music just in case (like having specific songs for weddings etc) you can always store them on a NAS (network attached storage) or an archive hard drive and add it to your laptop if you need it. I was ripping CDs and we know that about 3 out of 12-7 tracks really are the ones you would play so the rest of them can go. Decluttering is a lot of work. So now I mark for deletion as I work. ... Might as well start with all of the music videos as well those take up the most memory ... especially if you are not using it for streaming or your gigs. Music videos aren't what they used to be. Anyways enjoy cleaning up those crates!
