That trials 500 with the upswept exhaust and the Himalayan with the red/black tank were two pretty hot items. Love to put a full house Hitchcock kit on that Himalayan- turns them into a 562(?).

Royal Enfield, I had a British one and I had an Indian one, the British one went fine, clutch was crap but kept adjusted it was ok. Indian one blew rings every Few hundred miles. Both handled like ruptured Air Mattresses forks were always uneven. Regardless the were fun when I was young, I did however love the neutral selector on the gear box, quick stop heel on Neutral selector click into 1st and off again! Royal Enfield motto... Built like a gun... pity it wasn’t built like a bike! 😝

I can relate. I had a 74 Indian Enfield. It was relatively trouble free other than some electrical gremlins that popped up every now and then. I loved that bike but you wouldn't catch me taking it on long rides. The neutral finder came in handy finding true neutral since the gearbox seemed to have neutrals between the gears.

650 Himalayan with a slightly de-tuned twin (for more bottom end torque), please. 6 gears with short 1st for off road and long 6th for highway. Otherwise: Congrats and the very best wishes, RE.

I've seen s&s made big bore for 648 cylinder on Facebook, that was technically out of insane for bullet want to buy 648 with s& s bore kit. Maybe it goes more far in speed,voice,and performance in Europe.

Can't see any new models here just a few new colour schemes, the prices of these machines in the UK is scandalous for what is an old design bike apart from the new twin 650cc. It's strange that no matter where you purchase one of these bikes from in the UK their all priced the same for each model yet Retail Price Maintenance finished years ago, none of the dealers I approached were willing to discount the bikes which it makes it look as though theirs some price fixing going on and it's not only Royal Enfield that's doing it. There is no competition between dealers which I think is illegal if I understand the Law correctly, it's Price Fixing and they know it.

Well you can't blame RE for that, the similar bike would cost half the price in India then what it costs in UK or US. The import charges apply on these makes it overpriced for you maybe but then I dont see that RE's are overpriced.

There was Nothing New to see here just last years models rehashed with a few different colours, I would love one of the 500cc singles but they are at least £1000-00 overpriced new and I won't pay £4600-00 for what is a 1950s designed motorcycle, I know they been updated with new technology and better engineering but I can't bring myself to pay that sort of money for an old design which costs peanuts to make in India, the importer must be laughing all the way to the bank especially as every dealer approached won't knock a penny off, so much for competition between dealers and I thought retail price maintenance was scrapped years ago, how wrong was I.
