Nice, congrats! Some boat friends of ours had one that they sold this spring to someone else on the dock that was moving up from a smaller wood boat - nice boat and features for that size range. We moved up from a Laguna 24 to a Pearson 28-2 for the same reasons that you guys mentioned in your video! We've since moved up again, lol. Enjoy!

Flapping headsail - tighten that leech line, also if your sheet is on a car, move it back a bit, you've got a lot of downangle on that sheet from the block to the clue.. Great boat! Thats a nice step up from the previous boar. Love the headroom for a 28 footer - you'll really appreciate that! ;)

Good tips! Our leech line tightener is actually broken so that is something we need to repair. We do love the space for a 28 footer. We are still figuring this boat out so we do appreciate suggestions!

Geeeez! Catalina 28 / 28 mkii are so rare! They're priced the same for a more common mk 2 34' or hunter 340. mkii 28' is such an amazing boat for its size and its time.

Yes! The lower bay is pretty shallow and we need a shallow draft to keep it at the marina, it definitely checks all the boxes.

Nice boat! What upgrades do you have on your list? Would you still with this one for awhile, or move up again in near future?

This year we bought a cover for winter storage and are building a yard trailer. We are going to start with fixing things, then we will start adding things, mainly the electronics. We are planning on keeping this one for a long time. It took some time to find something that would fit at our sailing club and it has pretty much everything we wanted! Thanks for commenting!!
