Thanks, a plasma cutter was a feature of a welder I bought so it gave me a reason to get into plasma cutting

I benefited a lot from this. Esp hold at 45deg if starting in the middle of the piece,. Plus dry runs, amps, speed etc. Good stuff thanks

Im good but i make mistakes being new at it. Unless i study which this video helps, saves my tips. Ive notice air pressure and heat is important along with the angle. Ive been doing free hand and at first it involve alot of grinding from lack of confidence. I follow the line smoothly.

You mentioned tip distance, but didn't mention what it is, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4? mentioning the drag tip maintaining the proper distance was not helpful in that regard. Also should the torch be totally vertical or should it have some tilt forward or backward?

when I was in school I was taught if you have to restart the ark to move a 1/2" to the "scrap" side and restart and move back into the cut and not to over step

That’s common sense tho

I'm here because I did not follow any of those and the resultant cut made me question if I really knew what I was doing
