It's hard to walk away from situations when you're staying out guilt and obligation when the system forces you to be codependent and ruins your chances to be financially and materially stable on your own.

Because something is hard to do it seems to be a good reason not to do it. Victim mentality. You ALWAYS have a choice and you're always making one if you want to admit it or not. The universe gives you more of what you think, act and speak about. When you make the choice to put your focus on what you want rather than what you don't want reality will change because it must. It's the law of the Universe. Said from positive energy and sending this with God's light.✨️🤍

@@rehema1970 well yes - I agree in the sense that sometimes we all just need to be OUR own best friend in a society of change and abundance - especially in regard to populism, extremism, and wide varities of distractions that 20, 30, 40 years ago were not relevant like today in concern to social media technology, personal development, self help, life coaching, career paths, and how AI is becoming more of a dominant influence in our livelihoods.

I needed to hear this and recognize that I have made smart choices all along and to ignore the disappointment others express because I won't destroy myself to let them use me.

This video confirms I made the right decision to leave my job when I did. No notice because, although the industry requires 2 week notice, when that is given, they say “nope! Today is your last day” and they fire you! After reviewing my financial situation carefully I realized I was “good” and walked out with no notice and retained my dignity. Taking THAT much control felt so good even though it was scary to do! No regrets!

In a relationship, it may be easy to walk away from the partner but not the infrastructure that it took decades to build. Leaving that behind is extremely difficult.

I was always good at walking away.....from the people causing the "not so good" situation. I'm not a badass by any means, I grew up around my Grandmother and she had zero tolerance towards bullshit which was instilled in me.......old school, if you will. By the way, back in 1972 The James Gang had a song called "Walk Away" and the words then completely apply to what is said now...and it's a damn good song!

My brother is physically abusive to me. After being struck blows on over 200 occasions, I finally walked away for good. I haven't spoken to him in over 24 years. He has made a couple of attempts to patch things up but I know he means "piece", not "peace". It's the best decision I ever made!

I walked away from my micro-managing boss after 4 months at my previous position, it was hard at the time because it means taking a lot of risks and there is no guarantee that the next job will be better. Now looking back it was one of the best decisions I made.

Why is it that there are only very young people pictured in this video? Assuming it applies to all people, us older folks have these same problems, too. It would be nice to see that visually represented here. (my opinion)

I think overall this video is good, except the bit about don't stay because it's an obligation. Think about what happens in marriages when there are children and people just walk away simply because they feel like it from the person they were in a relationship with, it can affect both parties really negatively.

This. I didn't want to be a quitter. I stayed too long too many times.....an employer who assaulted me, an abusive mother, and a lying cheating husband. Now I don't hesitate to leave. Society thinks I don't have any maturity or resilience but I know better.
