Why is that in America, Jerseys don't come with the player's last names?

Its usually one of two reasons: 1. They reuse jerseys each year, saving money and resources 2. The school itself just doesn't put names on the jersey and puts the school name, creating more school pride and less individuality however, in club volleyball, USUALLY only the 18U players get their names on the jersey, for that I am not sure.
