Honestly, we learned the hard way how important it is to know your blood type. My daughter needed emergency heart surgery as a baby and we wanted to auto donate blood for her. We had to scramble to get everyone in the family tested to see who could safely donate. This is information that you can use to mentally plan for if you know it. I know who can donate for my kids if necessary and that is comforting. The blood supply is safe, I am not saying that. It is just the idea that we wouldn’t have to worry about shortages, rejection, etc.

I love to shop and watch various You Tube influencers i.e. Home Design, Make up Stylist, Hair stylists etc. You have your niche and most importantly you have a varied audience base on taste, budget, age etc. You project positivity, professional and engage us as a consumer. I work in a lab and I’ve never heard of hospitals not testing the baby’s blood for their type. Blew my mind when you said that! My hospital tests the cord blood from the baby and it has the blood type in it. Definitely much needed in case of emergencies!

It is not revealed to parents for free anymore. A lot of things have changed in the past decades. I agree with you it is important info, when I have my second child, it blew my mind that they are not providing me that info when my baby was poked for other tests anyway.

Both of my parents are deceased, so I don’t have anyone I could ask and I wasn’t 100% sure of my blood type. I was having routine labs done and I asked my doctor to include a blood type test. I was pretty sure I remembered hearing that I was was O-, turns out I’m O+. I don’t know why this isn’t something that is documented on a birth certificate.

I have the ninja 5 in 1 foodie professional pro. And I LOVE it. No more heating up the kitchen on hot Summer days! Loved the blood type kit! I had no idea you could order that. Everyone just assumes they test for that with your kids or as part of a physical. They don’t! One of those things you really need to know in case of an emergency. Also if you want to have a dependable clean blood donation. (blood banks don’t have a magic want to determine who has had covid or hep c before it all gets intermingled.) so in my world, this is a MUST have for any family. Maybe keep records in each car you own would be a good idea too! Thanks for your review and bringing this needed item to our attention!

I've seen you talk about the Neiwai Barely Zero collection before; finally took a chance and ordered the skinny strap & mid-rise panty. I LOVE them! I was skeptical about the panty because I was expecting them to ride straight up (a la all Lazer cut panties) these are surprisingly comfortable and they stay in place way better than expected. My husband and I were required to be blood tested before we got married. I’m A- so I have the RH factor and after you have your 1st baby, the hospital gave me a shot so future babies wouldn’t be deformed. I know the deformity is real as they didn’t test in the 1930’s and my mom’s youngest sister was born with no female reproductive organs. At 16, they took her to UCLA where she had a vagina made. What’s weird is she’s had the largest breasts of the 3 sisters. Also, her middle sister was always a very sick child, but she’s 82 and runs rings around me now! That blood test kit is a game changer! Yes, as the other commenter said if your blood type is A-, you are Rh negative not positive. The problem can occur if the fetal blood type is Rh positive (example: A+, B+, etc) and the mother’s (negative blood type) immune system makes antibodies that could attack the babies red blood cells. This would result in many problems but they would all be hemolytic reactions. So the sex organ deformity is not related, although it’s a pretty logical connection to be made.

One reason your mirrors and windows streak is that you are not cleaning them in the correct direction. Professional cleaners will tell you that you always clean in an 'S' pattern so you never cross back over the area you just cleaned. That way no dirt is redeposited on the area you just cleaned. If the doctor has no need for it, he/she won’t carry the solutions/serum needed for typing. It’s an unnecessary expense for them and they do expire, so it would just be wasted.

It’s not really information you’d ever need unless you required a blood transfusion. In that case, they would never just take your word for it and give you that type of blood anyway. If you were in an emergency you would safely get blood whether or not you knew your blood type. There’s no real science behind blood type diets, etc.
