Kind of a bummer to hear that there aren't really consequences for upsetting factions. Like, I killed the power on the first planet and the faction whose power I killed was just like "man, it really sucks that you did that, not having power is a bummer." Like, I even had a companion with me who made it very clear to me that she wanted me to make a certain decision, and when I made the opposite decision she was just like "Oh, bummer. Anyway, let's go."

Can you do a video showcasing the Science weapons? I've only seen info on the shrink ray so far.

I found a "Glue Gun" on Monarch that shoots balls of goo at stuff. It doesn't make things stick or create a slow effect though, but instead acts like a grenade launcher and shoots them into the air where they are suspended in a slow motion like effect for a couple of seconds. It also does electrical damage and seems to have a high stun chance. It's essentially for doing air combos with other weapons. You shoot something with the Glue Gun to launch it into the air, then switch to another gun and shoot it while it is suspended.

Found all the Science weapons. There is one for each weapon type. All are neat in their own way and do something interesting. Mind control gun is the long gun. Shrink Ray is the handgun. Glue Gun is the heavy gun. Prismatic Hammer is the two handed melee weapon. Mandibular Rearranger is the one handed melee weapon. They all have an interesting effect, but also all do decent damage. None were particularly hard to find, though the Mind Control gun does require a bit of platforming over a bottomless pit to grab, so save before you attempt it.

Another thing folks might not realize: most weapons have a higher level level variant that will start appearing on enemies in later areas and spawning in vendors as you level up. So, if you like a weapon you found in the first area and have been tinkering it, but it's gotten too expensive to keep doing it, if you can get by with it as is for a while you can usually find a higher level variant that will far and away outperform the original and will cost less bits to upgrade to even higher levels.

Primals flaw seems one of the best ones to pick because there is only 2 planets where you face them (Emerald Vale on Terra 2 and Scylla) and for the most part you can easily avoid them even if doing the mission for the Chimaera outfit. Steffen at the Botanical Lab sells the item you need from them. So you could go get the flaw in Emerald Vale, then go get the items needed from Steffen and never have to face them again.

1. Legendary weapons will just look like already modded versions of their non-legendary variants at first glance. Remember to inspect the weapon to see what the "hidden" effect is on the legendary weapon. 2. Each companion will give about 50 + to 3 skills at max level when in the party. With the right party combination you can land yourself over +100 to certain skills. This is usefull for two things: First is to pass those 150 skillchecks. Secondly, certain skills will give you bonuses the higher they are like medic and science. If you have a determination of 150 you can freely switch party members. This is good if you want to be able to pickl every lock, hack every computer and pass every dialog check. If you get your inspiration to 60 your companions skill bonus to you will be 100 %. Can be further improved by giving your companions the right skill bonus armor with the right skill bonus mods. Want to lie? Have Ellie and Nyoka. Want to persuade? Have Felix and Pavarti. Want to intimidate? Have Sam and Max. Want to pick a lock? Have Felix and Pavarti. Want science? Have Sam and Max. Want to hack something? Have Sam and Max. Want to sneak better? Have Felix and Nyoka. Need medical? Have Ellie and Nyoka. Better engineering? Ellie and Pavarti. 3. This one might feel very "gamey" but charm determines how much more reputation you will get when you complete something that that a faction likes. There is a trick to increase reputation further and that is to drink alcohol just before you you know you will get faction reputation increase. Remember that time passes when you are in dialog so you need to be fast as the first booze in the game will only work for 30 seconds. Beverage Service Technician picked at character creation might give you an extra second. This can even put charm up from very high to a hidden charm stat called maximum. This might however be slightly overkill as I'm getting every faction to revered by simply having good and doing the booze trick. Speaking of good... 4. The best way to allocate attributes in character creation is to simply put good in everything because it will give you an even spread in skills. Why do we want an even spread in skills. Well every skill point below 50 will increase two or three skills. If we want high science and engineering but we start out with very low engineering compared to science we will technically lose skillpoints until we can get out engineering up to 50.
@simonhansen50383 жыл бұрын
5. Probably the first time it feels like the game has screwed you over is when you start finding mark 2 weapons. Don't worry about this. A mark 2 weapon is EXACTLY as good as a mark 1 weapon tinkered to the same level as the mark 2. Your favorit weapon that you found in the beginning of the game will not be useless when mark 2 starts showing up as loot.

Just worth noting that I managed to earn a Kill On Sight status from Auntie Cleo's by helping a salvager get clear of them (so I was attacked by some guards who saw me talking to her), then by selling some of their secrets and returning to tell a guy that I did. (I just wanted to be honest!) Guess we'll see how this affects quests and opportunities as I get further into the game, but I think it should be said that reputation DOES matter, especially if you're not playing by their rules.

I just hate that if you take your time and do some exploring or just like revisiting areas you’ve cleared all the quests, example edgewater since if your doing a rebel style play through trying to take down the corporations. Well the town goes dark and everyone stays in that same position of worried what they’re gonna do with the power off.. no one leaves for the deserters camp like I figured since the camp can grow food(a big issue for this solar system) I figured it’d grow bigger and prosper more.. nope everything stays the same.. nothings really fleshed out in this world on the note of looking and acting like a real world with real people that do normal human activities. I just see through the facade right away that I can tell everyone’s on a set pattern that only has them walking around or standing around in one place. People don’t even walk away from each other after a conversation....

A couple things I wish I knew about the game When playing on Supernova, it is 100% viable to go solo and rock some of the Loner perks that only function when you have no other party members There's a 1st Tier Perk that boosts damage output by 25% when alone. Second, rushing high engineering and science early on can make you steamroll the early game I stockpiled a bunch of crappy cheap weapons from the Edgewater general store on my ship, then once I got to 80 points in Engineering (where you get a 10% chance to find a rare mod whenever you dismantle armor or a weapon) I just went nuts Then the 60 science is because if you luck out and pull a Mag-to-Melt from the pool, you can slap that on your gun of choice (I enjoyed the Assault Rifle and the Light Assault Rifle variant with this in mind) and watch your DPS climb and climb. In addition, if you manage to pull an Exact-O-Scope from it, you can make most enemies your bitch because of how incredible Corrosion + Exact-O-Scope is. I got to try it out with a MK2 Light Assault Rifle on Hard and Jesus Christ, it rips through Mantisaurs like no ones business I can just dump a mag into a Mega Mantiqueen and she'll be dead, easy as hell.

Can't beat Game Pass. I know younglings these days get all in a twist about spending a penny and you can't beat the price. I used to spend $20 a month on games only buying one a year the rest being rental. Rental doesn't exist. Game Pass does. For less than I would spend more than a decade ago each month I get unlimited access to a bunch of things. So I can wait for Steam to out right BUY it or I can make sure to NOT just trust anyone and give them $80 (I'm Canadian.) for a brand new game when I can play it on GamePass and then... If I like it... I can buy it. OR I can be like this guy in the comments who just blindly supports anti consumer practices of Epic. Just saying, there's other options than Epic and they're better. Period. Unless you love buying things you've never tried. If so, I have wonderful car for sale. Can't beat the price.
