In Italy, but I think throughout the EU, the advertising of prescription medicines is prohibited.

Nice video! As an Italian with a channel aimed to learners of Italian this was very useful! I think there are intermissions only on long movies: lately I saw interstellar-it had intermission, but shorter films didn’t. Grazie per questo video!

I really enjoy your videos and information. I am planning to retire in Italy next year and move to Livorno because I have a cousin that lives there. I will be applying for "Elective Residency Visa" but will have to have health insurance (any recommendations) for one year and purchase an apartment. I am really scared of the Italian taxes because they tax social security and other pensions and their tax brackets are higher than the US. I live in KY and the cost of living is not bad.

We don't know much about health insurance because we didn't need it. We used to public system. But the Facebook groups are an excellent source. Look at the tax treaty between the US and Italy and see how your taxes will be affected. I would recommend consulting with a tax professional that understand international or Italian taxes. It is a serious issue that you need to consider before making the jump. Many people avoid it by living half a year in the US and half in Europe. But that would mean you cannot register in Italy. Hope that helps. Thank you for your comment.

I believe the aim of the cinema house movie's intermission is for the health of the viewer's eyes and eyesight; we are all aware that watching for an extended period of time is hazardous to our eyes. The next step is to take a bathroom break. Every break is for our wellbeing. Enjoy watching and be healthy.

The prescription drugs ads are prohibited by law, not just in Italy but all over EU.

I grew up in venice at 34 i moved abroad to england for good . Sorry i have no opinions but bad only for the country i was born its not my cup of tea I find your remarks truthful i mean real but are not the problem that made me leave Italy for good. Struggling to understand what Americans find there that is better than in the USA. I mean even if you guys find some cons in the US I believe they are lesser important than the pros compared to those existing where you are right now😊😊

We agree with you and looks like you are the first Italian to not get upset with us. We made a previous video talking about other things people from the US should know before moving to Italy and we were berated by Italians. One in particular was really upset. Anyway, we will be leaving Italy for many of the reasons you know. We will keep documenting the journey. Thank you for watching and for your comment. 😊😊
