I love a Jack and Jill Bathroom between siblings' rooms for getting ready for school drama. In some Bedrooms, I put personal balconies for morning coffee or yoga and set the bedroom door to only allow mom and dad in so it is an oasis from the kids and when I do this in households with pets I add a pet door to the room so my cat can escape the craziness and enter our zen zone as well.

Oh I love those ideas Elaina! Definitely sounds like great fun for gameplay, both the Jack and Jill bathrooms and the balcony for coffee and yoga. Thank you so much for sharing :)

Okay I spent all last night watching your videos and I am ADDICTED. You deserve so much more attention for these tips! I've got over 700 hours in Sims 4, yet every single video has taught me several things I didn't know or never considered. You, my man, are a Sims hero.

Ahaha aww thank you Eon! I am so glad that you're enjoying the videos and learning some new things! I don't know if I can be called a Sims hero haha that is a big call, you are too kind :)!

I like putting the bed on a platform sometimes. Also, Murphy Beds are great (and deadly). Did you know that the ghost from a Murphy Bed death can't sleep in a bed anymore because they're scared of them and, in order to get energy, can steal it from other Sims? I learned this recently when I added a dead sim back into my household and he autonomously did this.
@melaniescribbles2 жыл бұрын
I did that platform thing in a build recently: I love that idea, and I should really do that more often. Not to mention that it also works to add more flair to living rooms: sunken seating areas can look so pretty on more modern builds (especially if you use the Dream Home Decorator couches).
@sabrinaloizides-merideth98742 жыл бұрын
@@melaniescribbles I love doing kitchens that are down a step too. They look good. Also, if you do the bedroom platforms right, you can an make it so only that kids or toddlers can get into the bed.

My sims bedroom is in an apartment complex, it’s small and tiny, so is the kids room. I like to play in smaller and cozy rooms to make it seem more life like. Loved the video Petey and thanks for responding to my previous comments, have a good day 😊😊

Great tips! Too bad the dream home decorator wardrobes are bugged. They will often disappear into household inventory every time you load in and you have to keep placing them back.

YES! I just bought the pack when things were on sale before this most recent sale, and I was/am really upset about it. I love using shelves all over the place, which is the main reason why I bought it, but you have no idea how upsetting it was for me when I first saw them disappear.
@reading17132 жыл бұрын
This is sad. And someone tried to convince me recently that this pack had been fixed 😶
@MelissaLawrence20022 жыл бұрын
@Amelia Kiefer I might have to try that because I'm confident that I've been alt placing a lot of them. Still sucks though just because we can't really place them exactly how we want.

I had no idea those seats fit the bay windows so well! Also - I just love the closet woohoo animation. One of my favorites, tbh.

Love all these ideas: I had no clue that you could customize bunk bed ladders. And I'm definitely placing more desks and other stuff like chairs under one, because I really don't use bunk beds enough in general. And I'm always wondering where to put a homework desk for my Child and Teen Sims: I prefer to have a designated place for them to do homework to make it easier for the parents to help them with it. I'm stealing that bay seat idea as well, because I absolutely love bay windows in general. Also, I would like to add the idea of putting activity items relating to the Sim's hobbies in a bedroom. Does your Sim like playing guitar? Place a guitar in there. They're into Fitness, but you have no room for a personal gym in the house? Put a treadmill or punching bag in a corner somewhere. I usually do something like this if I have space left in a bedroom, but no clue on what to do with it.

Private balconies and terraces are another idea for bedrooms as these provide private outdoor space for nude sunbathing, hot tub woohoo or just somewhere to paint or do yoga in peace. Tea sets, globe bars or drinks trays can be added to private lounge areas or balconies too. You can also use various loveseats to get interesting headboards and beds that look like sofa-beds. Use arm/living chairs and apply the same idea to single beds too. Alternatively you can decorate beds with curtains/drapes/dividers to give them more of an enclosed and private feel. Placing beds on the diagonal and using the space behind the headboard for floor lamps, sculptures/décor and taller plants also helps use up the space in larger bedrooms. Using narrow console tables/counters behind headboards then surrounding the head of the bed with cabinetry/modular shelving is great for creating a built-in look, perfect for trailers/caravans or tiny homes.

Halfway thru I was gonna joke "You forgot the kitchen sink", but you added that at the end 😂 You glorify your bedroom so much that you could live in it if you add an external door and delete/sell the rest of the house 😂 I used to fill my bedrooms when I first started playing game June 2021, but now I just a bed in only... sometimes I don't even make the room - just plonk bed in a corner ---- Do the Sims care?, no they don't. You might think my builds has gotten boring..., no...., the game-lag has taught me very quickly how to make 'functional' spaces rather than cluttered crap just for the sake of pleasing my aesthetic eyes.
