I saw this and thought of Stephanie. =) BELTER-noun- Theatrical gold. A person, usually female, who specializes in producing fierce, skilled vocals in the highest part of their chest voice. When given the choice to belt or mix, a belter will always choose the former. Female belters can also be refered to as beltresses.

I think Allison didn't need one. Her performance wasn't anything new or terribly exciting (don't get me wrong, I loved her... but...) and I thought Stockard was... meh. Josefina is simply lovely... and granted I haven't seen it... but was her performance really great? Anyway, I think at least Stephanie should have gotten something. But again, it's over. I'm resigned. lol

yeah i think stockard and foster should have been left out. foster plays pretty much the same character in every musical. but to me i believe they tony's decided to choose who they thought was the best from 9 to 5 to represent the show in the category and give the other nominations to other shows. it also doesn't hurt that allison is a tv and film star
