Instead of using the line tool to connect corners of a building, you can alternatively use //sel poly to have an entire building constructed, with walls and the inside filled. Then all you need to do is build the outside as needed.

In the context of BTE: You could also just use the effortless building mod in some situations included in the BTE Modpack and press the L key for a world edit quick reference guide. Still a nice video though!

I think that mod hasn’t been working for a lot of people, possibly because of cubic chunks. I know it wasn’t working for me or pippen and I saw others on discord with the same issue. (Well it kinda works but is super buggy, not working as intended). It would be great if someone found a fix because it seems like a useful mod
@FBlockLeymann
@FBlockLeymann 4 жыл бұрын
@@TBH_Inc Really? It is working great for me! If the mod works at Spawn (0,0,0) then you are building too far from spawn and then nobody can do anything about it. Then it is all just a floating point number percision error. I'm building in Germany so I think I am still close enough for the floating point number percision errors not to be bigger than 1 block and affect the building? The preview is affected for me though.

@@LukaSzent oh, if you open chat and then press the up arrow it goes to the last thing you sent (or command you ran) if it's something other than that, he probably has keybinds. also, you can usually press tab to autocomolete parts but it's a bit finicky if you mean getting the positions without opening chat, it's using a wand, type //wand to give yourself an item that sets pos when you click you *can* copy things in minecraft, with ctrl+a and then ctrl+c, paste using ctrl+v

This video really helped me with making roofs. I kept trying to find an easy way to do it, but never found anything. I would keep on using the convex selection but never understood how it really worked, now that I finally understood I'm so thankful. I have one question tho: how can I measure diagonal walls? Of course if the building is diagonal, and I'm looking to make a division every 4 meters, it doesn't mean I have to make it every 4 blocks. Any tips?
@Stevertus
@Stevertus 4 жыл бұрын
The way I do it is that I look at the number of divisions, make a line with //line and then divide the amount of placed blocks by divisions. Then you know how wide one should be.

how did you copy the tree. what commands did you use when you stood at the bottom and top corner of the tree?
@BTEGermany
@BTEGermany 2 жыл бұрын
You just have to make a normal worldedit selection. So for the bottom you use //pos1 to set the first point and at the top //pos2 and then you use //copy to copy the whole selection. But you could also place blocks at the cornors and then just select it with the wooden axe.

Yeah I also noticed this on our server. Basically worldedit has a maximum size for the brushes to reduce lag. You can go into worldedit.properties file in config/worldedit to increase this radius(20+ recommended)

Funktionieren die commands auch in der 1.16 bedrock?
@BTEGermany
@BTEGermany Жыл бұрын
Einfach Mal googlen.

can anyone please tell me how he gets building outlines on the ground, it would really help me get started with buildings
@kingchicken8232
@kingchicken8232 4 жыл бұрын
His outlines were already generated, the program uses www.openstreetmap.org/ for outlines and roads. The map is very incomplete, all of the outlines are set by users. Okay, here's what I do for outlines: 1) Go to google maps, find your building, and click directly on one corner. 2) That will bring up a little tab on the bottom of your screen, at the bottom of that will be coordinates. 3) Click those coordinates. 4) Another information box will appear on the side of your screen, copy the coordinates on it. (Copy the smaller coords, not the larger coords) 5) Go into minecraft and type the command "/tpll". Then put a space and paste the coords. 6) If it brought to to the right place, put down a block where you stand 7) Take a different corner of your irl building, and do 1-6 again with that corner. 8) Select both blocks in your minecraft world, and type the command "//line", that should make a line between the blocks. If you do all of that you can make the outlines easily and accurately. It's a bit much to take in at once, if I wasn't helpful I suggest asking on the discord server.
