It honestly baffles me how there are NO backups of these world maps. Even if the Teamleader has the original save file, there NEEDS to be another one on a save server, were other people can download it. Always have a backup when you do such big projects. It doesnt matter if the person who is in charge, can be trustet ( see Pippen ) , even these people can make mistakes and delete the whole map. I know these maps are massive but what did you expect when you were creating the whole world? Get some HDDs with some TB and save more versions of your world on there. A couple of the greatest flaws of this project are that there are no automated backup systems, and the anti grief systems are lacking. If Florida is wiped out, they should be able to revert to a backup made the day prior. Also, it should have an anti grief system where if you destroy more than two skyscrapers or so worth of blocks in a certain amount of time, it will disable your destroy/build privileges and create a flag for moderators until a moderator can review what you're doing. Also, why are people not properly vetted to get into this? Creating clone armies of bots should not be possible if every person/account is individually vetted over a microphone. Even the discord should have a waiting lobby, where you can't comment unless you're manually approved to after being vetted over a microphone. This would prevent discord spams. Then you'll be given a rank where you can access the rest of the discord. There's also no proper chain of command here. Only one trusted person, preferably with someone who has valid professional real world experience, should have full control over all servers so they can't be hijacked or randomly shut down. Also, if people put thousands of hours of work towards a server you own and you don't want to work anymore, at least give them the files.. Your inability to press forward due to lack of care, life, or personal problems shouldn't force grief on other people. Its not difficult to understand.

@@RmationYT There's that, but if I'm not mistaken there are a bunch of different groups working on different things. You missed the part where the guy spamming the discord server owned it. They eventually moved over to another discord server not owned by him, and got rid of him and his spamming accounts. If I were looking at such a misuse of a server, I'd call the police and see if there's anything they can do about him. It would likely not be much, but at least he would have notification that people dislike him enough to call a police officer for advice on what to do about him.

I want to tell a story: I was in a small server and most of the people worked together. We all banded together to make a nice spawn and we never fought. Then, one day, I logged in to screaming in the chat. Apparently, there was someone who was destroying everything around spawn, and people had all tpd there and were trying to kill him. He had just logged out and everyone was waiting where he logged out. I waited for a bit after gearing up, and soon he logged back in, thinking we had left. We kept killing him as soon as he spawned, while he whined in the chat. When he finally quit again, we made plans. We created an entire military complete with rankings and the players with way too much time on their hands outfitted the whole server with netherite gear. If anyone ever spawned in with bad intent, we would all be ready to tp to spawn and delete them. Unfortunately, the next event happened when I was the only person online. The same griefer that sparked the creation of the militia returned to do more damage. I killed him a bunch of times, but then he started whining in chat. He started complaining that I should just leave him alone. Of course, I said "no, you're just destroying other people's work" He said to just "let him do what made him happy"??? Like bro wtf that's people's homes So I told him that people worked hard on them and hit him with the "why destroy when you could do something constructive" He said something about how if he ever built something it would only be destroyed so what was the point I finished with "bro you're the only griefer here" Through my high charisma I convinced him to stop I actually convinced him solely through Minecraft text chat to stop griefing for good He apologized to everyone and helped rebuild, then I helped him make a house The server is dead now, but I wonder what happened to him...
