Yup. Feel bad for them both, but I think Kanata has/had it worse. Ame seemingly has a good family relationship, Kanata didn't/doesn't. Also Ame gives me the vibes of a girl who hung out with the less popular boys in school, while Kanata said she didn't really have many friends. Kanata also is still having issues, losing hearing, sleep apnea, Coco might move(?), etc. It really sucks because Kanata seems like a great hardworking person, but she keeps getting dealt shitty cards and always has to fight for her happiness

What fighters get are micro fissures that get covered with bone material again and again until the structure gets fortified.
@ahisee5181
@ahisee5181 3 жыл бұрын
@@seishinaozora5839 it's microfractures that strengthen bone. Big damage like getting your femur snapped in half is the kind of damage that results in permanent injuries. This is why conditioning training, which is basically giving yourself microfractures over and over and over again by doing something like punching soft wood, can be very dangerous. Since you don't know the extent of the damage being done, whether it's just a microfracture or you've wrecked your knuckles, most martial artists today only do conditioning on softer stuff like a heavy punching bag

It's not really masochism, since she didn't enjoy the part where she was injuring herself. It was an untreated drug addiction, because she got hooked on literal painkillers and was willing to harm herself to get more. The health teacher should've realised what was happening when a student is coming in 2-3 times each week asking for painkillers with the same injury each time, and provided support for her mental health rather than simply cutting off the supply.
@anagittigana
@anagittigana 3 жыл бұрын
@@altsadhara What a drug addiction? Mate... you seriously think there are pain killers in a patch for children? LOL Mate, these are local analgesics like camphor and menthol and methyl salicylate - they just irritate your skin and create a cooling feeling and smell good.

@@anagittigana She had a psychological addiction to the feeling of the patch, not a physical addiction to any actual ingredients. Repeatedly harming oneself to get more is literally a textbook example of an unhealthy addiction, and shouldn't be overlooked just because opiods aren't present.

Considering the story where she ate grass for hunger, it sounds like she was neglected as a child, leading to this behavior. The point of getting injured wasn't the pain or the patch, the point was about someone recognizing and taking care of her, granting her the patch. If the patches were freely available on self-service stand instead, it would become pointless.
