This remind me when she told the history of her time in an hospital, she paid a private room because she wanted to stream from there but her manager didn’t allow it, she had already paid for the room and couldn’t change it so she had to stay there, she asked the receptionist for something and the receptionist wasn’t showing that much interest in helping her until Kanata told her what her room was and the receptionist changed her opinion and quickly decided to help her. She was really surprised how the fact that she had money make her a priority, she was really confused of that moment, for her, she was just another patient Seeing this make me like her even more, she is very humble, and I love that Sorry if I misspelled something, english is not my first language

Where i live healt insurance is split in 2. statutory and private Basically all doctors have special timelslots, where they only make appointments with privately insured people, cause they can charge them more. (Since private insurance covers more and often a bigger cut if they just cover partially)

Which I think is kinda admirable, because she's incredibly frugal when it comes to herself, but she seems overwhelmingly generous and proud to be able to spend money on her friends and other Hololive members. Remember when Coco came back from her suspension, and to celebrate, Kanata bought her an exclusive animal crossing themed Nintendo Switch, with a 80GB memory card, 2 Pro controllers, screen protectors, a hard travel case for the console, a little rabbit purse to keep the games in, 2 years of Nintendo Online membership, and and AC themed tote bag she could keep the accessories in. Like, there was easily $400+ worth of stuff there and Kanata didn't hesitate to get here EVERYTHING she thought she'd ever need.

I can relate to it though it wasn’t that my family was poor or anything. We just didn’t regularly buy a lot of snacks and I didn’t like the food my parents made for me when I was very young. For some reason, I don’t have their acquired taste for Chinese food and always preferred Western foods. But I didn’t have any allowances so I tried grass a few times at school lol.

this might be alittle better than grass, i have eaten actual guava leaves and or nuts that i can find inside dried fruits on the ground when i was hungry back when i was a kid, i wasnt really a picky eater so eating anything strange isnt a big deal to me. and if u are asking “why dont u eat the guava fruits?” that paricular guava fruit cant bare fruits for some reason, when times are lucky i can buy some local chips for 5-7 pesos *i dont know how to convert it to dollar but i do know that 1 dollar is roughly 50 pesos in my country and some things u can buy with one peso are candies and some other cheap snacks* and pair it with rice. I can proudly say that my life has become better than it used to be.

50$ is around 2500 Pesos here in the Philippines. I was only given 100 Pesos a week (around 2$) since i usually pack my own food for school. Still i can manage. Regular students here have 200 to 500 pesos a day (4$ to 10$) a day. That includes Transportation and School needs. I dont have to worry about transportation since i just walk from school to home because school is almost right next to my house. And for other expenses 100 pesos is enough to get through the week. Atleast most of the times. So 50$ a month for only food expenses can barely squeeze it here in the php. (For 1 person atleast)
@jayzenstyle
@jayzenstyle 3 жыл бұрын
@@raymundolancealfreds1050 can attest to that. Fellow Filipino here. I sometimes eat spoiled rice as a kid and would harvest local malunggay for lunch. My motto is pretty much "every grain of rice is a blessing"... though being frugal is much easier to do in rural areas, much more plants around to forage. Urban settings make me use more money just for food, which is why I tend to be more stressed in those areas.

To be honest, for eating as one person for 1 month, 20€ (25$) is really enough some month it's even 10€ (12$) that I use for eating (because sometimes I still have things from the past month), when I want to make a bit of sugary pleasures, it's can go up to 30€ (37$) (mostly during month event like chrismas and such). Or sometimes I use 40€ to buy food for 3/4 months. And for real, 5$ dollars for 1 panty is really high priced, I bought a pack of 5 for 5$.

@@gladewings1192 I'm from France, supermarket are really cheap if you live in the countryside. We have things like Lidle, Aldi, Monoprix, Carrefour. And even big supermarket offer things with cheaper price. So yeah 25$ to but is really enough if you don't live in big cities like Paris. 1,50$ is 1kg of pasta or rice. Potatoes are like 2/3$ for the kg. It's really cheap. You even have many good cookies for 1$. Same for tea and such. There is a wide range of price going from cheap but good to fancy and unnecesseray since they pretty much taste the same. Even bread is like less than 1$ With 25$ in France you can literally buy 20 things. And for clothes, it's also cheap there, there is things like Baboo and most clothes in super market are also cheap. We even have a shop Action where almost everything cost 1/1,50$. And when there is promotions each summer and winter things get even cheaper for clothes or electronics in regular shop during the 2nd part of the promotion because things can go up to less than 70%.

thats why people need to look down sometimes, not just looking up everytime, im not saying to stop aim higher, but be thankful of what you have, one simple act of kindness a day will help bring smile to those around you.

Japan heavily relies on imports as Rural Farms to stay competitive in the international Market as South East Asia and South America produce more Standard Product and at Cheaper Price than Japan who compromised focused on High End Products for Exports making domestic Product Expensive and Imports Cheaper.

@@lettuceman9439 Yeah, I know that. But eating grass just to fill yourself in a first world country looked up by many people is still a huge surprise.

I didn't grow up too poor, but I got curious during recess one day, and ate a bit of grass, and it wasn't half bad, so if I ever go into superpoverty®, I could probably live on pine needles, and grubs.
