Just 18 months ago, Louise, a 39-year-old single mum from Gloucester, met Jose, a 29-year-old Colombian rapper, online. Hitting it off immediately, the pair started a relationship - despite living over 5,000 miles apart! But after flying over to Colombia to marry a man she’s never met, Louise arrives back in the UK a married woman. “I’ve now left Colombia, I married Jose after meeting him only 10 days ago,” Louise says, in scenes filmed for this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé UK. “I have decided that we can’t be apart, so he is going to come to the UK to stay with me.”
With the pair having to board separate flights, Louise arrives back in the UK shortly before Jose’s flight is due to land. With Jose still in the air, Louise makes her way to the correct terminal at Heathrow Airport, eagerly awaiting her husband’s arrival. “Now I just want Jose to hurry up and land so we can get to my house,” she says excitedly. “I’m just getting a bit nervous and excited all at the same time.” As the clock strikes 3pm, Jose’s flight lands. With waves of people walking through arrivals, Louise is on the lookout for Jose. “I’m trying to be nosy and look at people’s suitcases,” she says. “I’m trying to see where they’re arriving from.” But after a tense wait… there’s no sign of Jose. “I’m not too sure what the delay is or what’s going on,” Louise says. “It’s making me a bit nervous.” An hour later, there’s still no sign or word from Jose. Calling Jose’s mobile, Louise has no joy. “It rang and said it can’t connect,” she says. “It is worrying that he’s not answering his phone… I actually feel like I’m going to vomit.” Has Jose got cold feet and stood his new wife up?
With the sinking feeling in her tummy growing, Louise receives a phone call from an unknown number. “I’m waiting but there’s still no sign of Jose, I’m starting to get slightly worried now,” she says. Answering the call, Louise is put through to an Immigration Officer who has news: Jose is being held back for questioning, and unable to enter the UK. “I’ve just had a phone call from somebody in immigration asking about my and Jose’s relationship and questioning what we’re doing together,” she says. “This is so bad right now.” Despite explaining to the official that she and Jose are a married couple, Louise hits a brick wall. “Why does nobody believe our relationship?” she says. With the pressure mounting, Louise breaks down in tears. While Jose hasn’t stood her up, Louise is faced with the very real possibility of her new husband being deported. “Jose’s now stuck in immigration; I think they’re going to send him back,” she says. “He’s come all this way. Absolutely devastating, my heart is breaking.”
After four and a half hours of waiting for word on her husband’s welfare, Louise is finally able to reach Jose via text message. “Me and Jose have been texting back and forth. They’ve just left him in a room, and it’s horrible,” Louise says. “It feels really horrible to think that Jose is on the other side of the wall, and I can’t do anything to help him.” With things looking bleak, Louise struggles to contain her emotions. “We’ve only been married a short time and I might have to say goodbye to him again,” she says.

A few hours later, Louise receives another update from Jose. “Jose just messaged me two things. One, the wheel broke on his favourite suitcase, which I don’t think is of high importance right now,” she explains. “Two, they’ve just made him do biometric exams. I’m thinking it’s positive, hopefully he’ll come out here soon and this s*** will be over.” Both tearful and angry, Louise vents her frustrations. “It’s been f****** terrible, I did not expect it to be this bad. This is f****** s***!”
With day turning to night, the wait continues. “It’s been six hours now. Jose’s messaging me when he can,” Louise reveals. In one text message, Jose reveals his own frustrations, clearly upset, confused, and anxious over his situation: “I already have anger with these people I AM NOT A F****** DELINQUENT!” Upset, Louise does her best to explain her husband’s state of mind. “He doesn’t understand what’s going on,” she says. “Jose’s really upset. He keeps saying, ‘I’m not a bad person, why are they doing this to me?’”
Late into the evening, Louise receives another call from immigration, and it’s not good news. “Immigration have finally called me back, but it still doesn’t sound good,” she explains. “They still haven’t made a decision. I’m getting really desperate now. Jose is my whole world, and if they don’t let him in I really don’t know what’s going to happen.” And it’s a final text from Jose that pushes Louise’s emotions over the edge, and she breaks down in tears. “Jose just messaged me saying ‘It’s okay, don’t say sorry’ and that I’m his life and that he loves me,” she says, wiping tears from her eyes.

Tbh I understand Jose’s frustration got stuck at Dubai airport cause one page of my passeport was a bit damaged, they treated me so bad (not surprising their Emirati’s respect isn’t in their education)
