When that much hair is pulled out there's redness and inflammation and sometimes bleeding. It doesn't just rip out clean like that. Honestly, Devon trying to make Jihoon a father to her daughter was too soon for it to work. She barely knew him, anything about his parenting style, or even if he was technically safe to be around her daughter before she moved her whole family to Korea to co-parent with him. I do think that Jihoon’s retelling of the story is most accurate, in regards to the hair pulling, because I think that kind of empathic parenting is common in Korea and I do think Devon is the type of person to get upset with her daughter being physically punished (especially when you think about the fact that she used to be abused herself). The dog story is a bit of a stretch, where I think Drascilla was just being rough, rather than intentionally hurting the dog. I also do think Jihoon may have some issues as well because… well poverty does that to people? All-in-all, it really seemed like the two of them should have discussed parenting MUCH before they decided to move in with each other and Devon needs to stop having children with men she barely knows without considering how that will affect her kids in the future.

I can understand why she went back to the US first. Here in South Korea, even if it is true, speaking against someone's character is slander and a pretty big thing you can't do. a person's image ties to the family image and that is considered something that needs to be protected. Umm... there IS no missing hair! Her daughter's hair is thin like that on both sides. JUST LIKE DEAVAN HERSELF! When its a pulled bald spot, the scalp would actually be different shade; it would be very obvious if it were from pulled hair. I don't believe for one second Jihoon abused Drucilla. I do like both of them but Devan seems borderline or something. And as a mother I can say for sure kids make things up luckily I'm alone and have been the sole carer for my daughter her whole life, but when she tells her friends I'm absolutely terrifying when I get angry, it's such a major exaggeration. I can usually make them behave with a simple glare without even raising my voice lol.

I have a feeling the child was acting up because of the big changes in her life like adapting to a new culture and environment and even language barriers etc. I wouldn't be surprised she was bullied to begin with in school being an outsider who looks different and doesn't speak the local language as well. Also having a new baby brother taking up a lot of attention away from her mom as well. Also conflicts her mom and Jihoon has during their relationships as well. Based on childhood psychology books I read small children tend to act up and misbehave because of changes in their lives from a new parent, to parents constantly fighting, new siblings arrivals and even moving a new place. So far she was only 3 years old went all these happened to her and now she is like 5 years old. Also small children doesn't understand consequences until they are between 5-7 years old so physically disciplining her she wouldn't understand.
