Yup. I live in Japan and it really isn’t that uncommon for men to be financially irresponsible and not have savings at 30. It’s not uncommon for young people in the city to live paycheque to paycheque and don’t really think about saving money for the future. My mom and step dad both respect my privacy and I feel way less stress than when I was living alone and managing by myself, i had the mindset where it's awesome because you're living alone and you're independent blah blah blah, but it can get real challenging so fast, while being independent is a good thing, don't overdo yourself because it can really feel heavy

In Korea, there's so many assistance programs for "multi culture" family. She could've gotten language lesson for her & Dracula for free, monetary living assistance, of course free school, after school care, free daycare, etc etc but here we are.... You also get $ assistance while you're pregnant (I think around $300/mo?) Also most Koreans know some English, but 100% if you are going to live there you have to know Korean unless you're planning to only live in a foreigner zone (which is super expensive). Last note, you can have an OK life in Korea for $2500/mo. Entry level income are $1800~$2200/mo usually.

While the rest of the world considers a positive, respectful thing for an american to TRY to learn just a bit of the local language while visiting their contry, Americans tend to think visitors MUST speak proper english when they go there. The entire world is so bombarded with english language and American culture constantly, it's even hard NOT to learn. Take me as an exemple. I've never taken formal lessons, not even once, never set a foot in an english speaking country and I consider I speak an write pretty decent english, and my reading and listening is perfect. I live in Florida and have not been to Miami in years because there are enclaves where they do not speak English and refuse to learn so you cannot do business or shop there. With South Koreans appreciating it if you learn their language, I feel like that's mostly true anywhere. I went to Mexico a few years ago and I tried to speak Spanish when I could (I had a dictionnary with me) and people were really receptive, they even helped me out with some phrasing and pronunciation. Traveling should be a learning experience, imo.

As someone who is half Thai and half White(I don't know what my dad was... other than ginger lol) Whenever I'm in Thailand I do try to learn more than just the few necessary phrases. There were times when at night after dinner we were drinking we would try and teach each other Thai and English and I think it made us closer. Hearing my great granduncle sing "Ice Ice Baby" will forever be my most hilarious memory. :)

Jihoon is definitely needs to grow up. In his defense, this situation was "forced" on him. He came to America for a one night stand. Next thing he knows he is faced with being a husband and father of two in less than a year. I saw a video Deavan posted where she said the original plan was to have Jihoon move to the U.S. She claims that she had a job making good money plus she gets 90-day-fiance- money. If money is the issue, why not have Jihoon come here? Once he has his work visa, he qualifies for 90-day-fiance checks and he may have more luck finding a job in the U.S. Given the circumstances, i.e. his conviction, needing to pay restitution and his just add water family, I think Jihoon tried. Deavan's expectations were unrealistic. She is trying to compare Jihoon at 31 to American men at 31. It is a different culture. Deavan is flaunting this new guy. 😂 He is going to use her for her 15 minutes of reality show fame and I can seriously see her knocked up within the year with baby #3. She will still be a single mother. Jihoon has his faults. He admitted that. Deavan refuses to take responsibility for the part she plays on this sh1t show. She doesn't even discipline her daughter and then gets angry with Jihoon when he can't control her f*ck trophy. She comes across as a miserable person.

Last semester I had online conversations (i study Chinese language) and I got a very nice Chinese teacher who was Korean, so sometimes I would ask her how to say something in Korean and stuff and I would greet her every time in Korean at the beginning, it really made her day. And I don't even speak Korean, I just watched one K-drama and listened to BTS years ago xD My point is, where's the will, there's a way. Many cast members are willing to learn each others languages, it's not that difficult, especially having a native speaker next to you (literally).
