90-Keyless Carl Frei Dutch street organ "De Gouden Engel" plays 'Frohsinn auf den Bergen' & 'Serenade 1', arr. Carl Frei - re-cut by Leon van Leeuwen-Perlee, 2019.
"De Gouden Engel" is owned and presented by Nelis' Dutch Village, Holland MI. Early on in 2017 some vital mechanical parts of the organ were send back to The Netherlands for restoration at the Perlee workshop in Amsterdam, NL. In April of 2017 Leon van Leeuwen-Perlee came over to Holland MI to put the restored parts back into the organ and him and Luke Curtis (Park Manager at Nelis' Dutch Village) worked together on getting the organ ready for the 2017 season at Dutch Village. An extensive amount of work was done to the organ - a partial restoration - which make the organ play close to the way it played when it came to the park in the late '50's. In 2018 the organ facade was completely re-decorated by Luke Curtis.
Special thanks to Luke Curtis & The Nelis Family for their hospitality.
