For the Cazador Encounter in ACT 1 you have that wrong, if you DONT bite anyone as Astarion and go through like 1 or 2 long rests you get the Cazador Encounter. Its meant to remind you that you need to drink blood. After that encounter your prompted to drink the blood of one of the party members at camp that can lead to killing them or long resting. I dont know if they changed that in Patch 7, but I remember having this encounter a while before patch 7.

Fire damage doesn't work on Grym but if you have a druid in your party (or anyone with access to the spell), heat metal will indeed cause the "superheated" condition if it lands

Minor correction to the Dead Eyes gang part, they appear there if you don't save Mayrina. I didn't kill Ethel in Act 1 but the hag survivors were still at Old Garlow's.

The trigger might be the fight against Ethel itself. I let her leave with Mayrina, so I neither saved her nor killed Ethel, and the hag survivors were there, just not Mayrina.

I know. Larian has thought of so much. It's a shame, though, that you can't have a dialogue with Mizora about Raphael. I took Raphael's body and threw it in front of her, but she didn't react.

Its crazy to me they put so many years into this game and theres so much they could add in through small bits of work here and there (like having a tiny, small level of you going to Icewind, bringing the god dialogue back for paladins, this dialogue you suggested here, etc.) but instead they are moving right on to their next game right away. Some things are just not things that will be easy or realistic to expect from modders.

There is a neverending list of things that could be added. A game, like any form of art really, is never truely finished, until the artist decides it is. That's something you'll have to learn the hard way : you have to declare it finished at some point, and move on to something else. It can be quite a painfull process, but the search for perfection can be your worst enemy.

For the rare treasure at 12:32 if you have scratch in your parry he get the condition sniff and lead you to it.

You can one shot grym with a druid (Path of the moon). You need either the potions or a wizard. Have the fight start with one character while your druid is at the top of the stairs. Now your druid turns into a owl bear. Give them Elixar of the colossus (or the spell enlarge) , potion of jumping (Or the spell) , Potion of feather fall (Or the spell) and set to turnbased mode. After this just use the owlbear's ability pounce. You will deal around 1.1k in damage overkilling grym.

Circle of the Land and Circle of Spores Druid both get owlbear at level 6 as well, and when using the Crushing Flight ability it negates fall damage so you needn't worry about featherfall, elixir of colossus is preferred over the Enlarged spell as it doesn't require concentration or have a 10 turn limit (just a few tips to add on to your method for clarification)

When dashing outside of turn base mode and then activating it, you gain double movement but this effect stack so you can dash multiple times before going on turn base mode to have much more movement speed

I think Neeber is a tribute to “NOOBER”!from BG1. Noober would accost you with a “Hey Ya” and keep engaging you in conversation. Literally took 30-50 conversation screens to get him to be quiet, but you got exp for it. Killing Noober did not trigger the Flaming Fist response or lower your reputation. Now you know!

defeating grimm is easy. climb on the center piece, attack grym to become yhe prime target. and when grym is at you, hit the lever to enable the forge. repeat 3x, done.

Just keep 2 of your party on the high outcrop. And throw anything down on him. Returning pike is the easiest of course. The 2 party members below just have to keep annoying him, but are reasonably safe so long as one on the steps above hits him last each turn. He can't reach them, though the mefits can.

@@Jules_Diplopia You can do it by yourself just throwing junk at him. You don't need anyone down below. I've done it solo that way dozens of times. He'll always be in the lava where you can hit him, and if you need to open the gate, just shoot it with an arrow. He gives over 800 experience when killed, but not if the last hit is from the "falling" damage of a throw. You have to finish him with a spell or archery.

One cool trick I just learnt: Sell a backpack to a trader. Put all its inventory including gold in the backpack. You can repeat this on a daily basis (I am not sure if more stuff is respawned because it's inventory apparently empty or not, but it feels like it is. If the trader eventually dies the backpack with all its contents will remain to be looted.

Dead Eyes Gang: I think theres a mistake in the criteria but not sure what the criteria might be since I never saw the Dead Eyes Gang. Ive also never slain the Hag in Act I ever. Im thinking its Mayrina rather, If Mayrina dies you see the Dead Eye Gang instead of the Hag survivors....?

If Ethel gets to have Mayrina's baby, the Dead Eye Gang will show up. The Hag-Questline in Act 3 will only be present if Ethel needs another baby because she didn't get to have Mayrina's. There are multiple ways to get to this point but also multiple ways to prevent that. You can kill the hag in Act 1 or let the hag leave but save Mayrina (either with or without getting the hag's hair) to have the questline present in Act 3; even if you kill Mayrina afterwards, the hag questline will still happen, meaning there will not be a Dead Eyes Gang. However, if you let the hag leave with Mayrina or just don't interact with her at all, will prevent the questline from happening, therefore making way for the Dead Eyes Gang.

I also managed, with some Luck, to kill the Mind Flayer, Commander Zhalk and the two Cambions on the Nautiloid. The Mind Flayer and Commander Zhalk offer not much Rewards, but the two Cambion hold a lot of Gold(around 100 each) and some Stuff you can sell for good Money

Did you know that Lakrissa also will give you some companion approval in Act 1 after you make that bet? Talk to her before all the tiefling leave with Astarion, Shadowheart and Wyll. Tell her she doesn't owe you until we all reach Baldur's Gate. However I've yet to test this recently but as of full release it was working.

Funny thing with the pact weapon trick. If you bind a weapon as a pact weapon, then change class, that weapon is still bound to you. Meaning you can bind a light, random weapon, change class, and you'll still have the weapon bound to you unable to remove it.

Secret Warrens, if you are dragonborn your saving throw is not 25 but (i don't remember the number but it's waaay less than 25). So you can avoid the fight.

You are definitely wrong about the torches not working. I have done this on multiple play throughs including HM. I have never tried a lit torch, but a unlit one for bludgeoning damage, but practically anything works. I thrown caldrons, long swords whatever I have spare to hand. You have to keep him superheated by firing at the lava valve, every couple of turns, which is tiresome if you are playing solo, but it definitely works. I use minor illusion to lure him under the hammer, but that's not always effective. I have also summoned scratch (I am a monster) and shovel under the hammer.

Yes, torches (or anything that does bludgeoning damage) works fine if Grym is Superheated. What _doesn't_ work, but which someone on reddit was incorrectly claiming did work, was the idea that the fire damage from a lit torch falling on Grym would _make_ him Superheated. It doesn't, because he can't actually take fire damage.

"If Auntie Ethel is not slain". This is incorrect. This only happens if Auntie Ethel keeps Mayrina's child. That is the flag. That quest line only starts if she needs a new baby. You won't get this fight if you convince her to give up Mayrina and her hag hair.

Heated Metal makes grim vulnerable. And you can continuous cast. Best way to kill him is just jump with ownbear and colossus elixigir, deals like 900 damage. If you go elixir and spell enlarge, deals 10k+

She has 'Alert.' Typically you also want it on harder modes or Elixir of Vigilance. But theres an easy way to deal w her in sewers. Go in the back entrance (where she escapes) & sneak when you go through the door. Minsc will sense you while talking to Roah but if you just choose 'prepare to attack,' you wont go into combat. Just go into TBM when she gets close-ish and attack her. Plus youll have high ground
