Like half of these aren’t even secret. Most players doing a good playthrough are gonna encounter the stuff related to saving the tieflings. And 4 of these are just deluxe edition items.

I think we're running out of secrets ;) Four of these are portraits, which aren't really hidden unless you're just not looking around. And you already mentioned the Red Prince one in a previous video if I remember correctly. Not sure Minsc counts as a hidden companion too. I like these videos and there's still a lot that's new to me, just that the vid is a little inflated :)

For Minsc, you definitely do not have to use a non-lethal Melee (i used magic missle), nor do you have to have Jaheria in your party, as long as she's in your camp your all good.

Rolan's Firestorm was supposed to be a "Secret" Spell? I got that on my first playthrough, it was easy, hardest part was keeping that red f*** alive during the mage tower fight, but all i had to do was put him to sleep and then cast sanctuary at him and i didn't have to worry about him.

Rolan also eventually runs away into the shadows in Act 2 and you will run after him to find him amidst the battle where he could easily die if one of shadows rolls critical hit or two. At this moment you just escaped Moonrise Tower's dungeon and might not have healing spells available to keep him alive.

@@hairytentacle3924 Never had an issue with that part either, i just rushed them like i've done every fight, and taken out those i could with my ranged companions. Gotten to that part like 10 times with different class combos, never ones was he even remotely close to dying.

I got something but i don´t know if it´s already common knowledge. Sell a bag to a vendor and then open the bag in the vendor´s inventory. Start placing items you want inside the bag. After this, you could use Astarion (or do it yourself if you are a rogue) to pickpocket the vendor OR, and this is what i found out, if you kill the vendor, the bag with all the items will be among the loot. I tried it with the vendor outside the goblin camp and i managed to get all those items back.

This video is just worthless filler for the sake of bloat. Really, Minsc is a hidden companion? A final battle ability that most people discover anyway? The side-effect of an easily-visible item from a well-known merchant? Two final battle allies that are so obviously mutually exclusive that everyone can immediately tell are going to allies, and that are registered as potential allies in the quest tab? How laughably stupid and desperate for content in a game that still has actual rare features to be found.

Not sure if it has changed with updated patches, but Lae’Zel did not disapprove of defacing Vlaakith’s portrait for me. I actually reloaded to see if I missed the disapproval message, but it did not appear. She just scolded me for being childish, though I think she’s secretly impressed with Tav’s boldness. My head canon is that she was cackling internally, but wouldn’t dare shame the Githyanki in such a way.

Given how critical Alfira's gift in Act 2 is to certain builds, even for the canon DUrge, players were frequently doing cheesy things to ensure she survives into Act 2. My guess is that Larian noticed and decided to include a less-cheesey alternative path, rather than just take away the option to cheese it. That's their way, I think.

I lured Minsc away from the battle with Wyll by having Wyll Goad him into attacking and closing the sewer door once he walked far enough. That way no misfires or environmental damage can occur. After that I had Wyll using sleep and hold person until the battle was over.

The Alfira thing is disappointing so far. She does join my party just like a companion during long rest. But doesn’t matter if I dismiss her or keep her in the party, she still dies by my dark urge, the cutscene is exactly the same. You can see that Alfira has the same spells and features from Bard class and Tiefling race, nothing special.

you don't need to bring Dame Ailyn to Lorroakan to get Rolan's firestorm!! i just entered the tower with my party, defeated Lorroakan with Ailyn safely chilling at my camp and spoke to Rolan afterwards you do have to do all the steps in act 1 and 2 tho

Roland doesn't really "side" with Loroakkan. He's emotionally broken by his siblings' deaths and Lorroakkan physically and mentally abuses him to break him further. Killing him at that point may be a kindness.

Maybe they patched it out but you don't need Jahera in your party for Minsc. If you knock him out a cutscene will play where he goes into a rage, then you will have a dialogue with the emperor. If you ask the emperor to save him you need to beat a social roll (either intimidation or history) and then the emperor will save him .

14:01 I was under the impression that you can also twin it so that you kill yourself and an enemy and you'll still be able to use it again after revivification. If you're a level 10 enchantment wizard and a level 2 sorceror, you could even double it with Split Enchantment, and then twin it as well in order to kill 2 enemies every time you kill yourself, and still do it again later. (Hopefully they didn't/don't patch this in honour mode, because martyr wizard builds sound hilarious!)

Just Saying. But You can have Arka Kill Sazza and have her Survive despite it. You just need to Eradicate the Goblin Camp before she goes there. Doing so will make her Mourn at the Grave later on. Telling You that she hopes You made the Goblins Suffer when You Eradicated them.

If you like Alfira and are playing a Dark Urge playthrough, knock her out after coming across her above the grove. There is a reason she has less dialogue lines during a Durge playthrough than a normal one....

Mattis survives even if you don't save Rolan, I'm pretty sure. On my first playthrough I completely missed all of Rolan's storyline, and Mattis was still there by the barn in act 3.

Likely a bug.I didn't have Mattis in Act 3 on my first playthrough, and I definitely never interacted with Rolan. So I was pleasantly surprised to find Mattis selling items in Act 3 on my second playthrough (he feeds Karlach's cloud giant elixer addiction). Rolam was killed by druids in one of my recent playthroughs and I was LIVID that the only kid that was at Last Light was Mol. (I've since found Silfy selling papers in the Lower City, but no Mattis. Mattis is one of my faves.)

Minsc is not insanely hidden, and some of the information isn't even true. I didn't have Jaheira in my party when I fought him, and I was still able to get him to join me.

What do you mean "in the same long rest"? You meet Rolan in the bar and then you see him dead. When does he leave? How do you catch the moment he is going out?

After you speak with him at the Inn you just cant long rest. He will leave the Inn after the Dialogue at the Bar and can be encountered at the River. If you Long Rest between speaking with him and going to the River, he will die. But there is no "Real Time Countdown", just the Trigger Dialogue and the Long Rest, so you have any time in the World to go there.

I swear I've been able to Long Rest after talking to Rolan. If you don't and immediately go to defend Isobel, he'll help fight even. Then you Long Rest and he's left a projection that tells Cal and Lia he's looking for them. I think you just can't trigger the "is that Rolan?!?!?" dialogue from the avatar and then leave, Long Rest, and come back. I swear I've faffed about for a while before going to rescue him. Granted I generallt only Long Rest 1 or 2 times on the Last Light side of the map and 1 or 2 times on the Reithwyn side. My memory could be skewed.

If he's left the inn, then he's there just don't long rest if he has now left the inn and not at his usual drinking spot

I played through, convinced her to spare shaza, made sure she survived the grove siege, she says goodbye at her brothers grave, but SHE STILL goes to the goblin camp and I find her dead there! You can’t save her. Only prolong her self destructive hatred for goblins to be her undoing. Really sad.
