He was insane at Lyon. Insane. I thought he was a world class player already there. He actually declined when he got to Madrid, lost a bit of pace and lost a bit of finishing ability he had and didn't continue to improve the way he should. He got to a great level later on, won a Ballon d 'Or but I honestly think he never got as good as he could have been. He was a bit lazy for most of his days at Real Madrid and didn't work enough on himself. Imagine if he could only combine the speed and the hunger he had in the Lyon days with the ice cold finishing he had in his late Madrid days... Would have been the closest thing to R9 we have seen since him.

His playing style is the closest I've seen to Zidane. But since he's a striker, he doesn't have the same playmaking vision. If he was a midfielder, I bet they'd be twins.

@jonyeak you must joking right? Have you ever seen Benzema dribble past 4 or 5 players while running full speed? 😂 He and Zidane aren't just look-alikes, they share Algerian roots. Both of them show off the beauty of North African dribbling style. Bellingham is much more similiar to Kaka, but with less pace.
