90's AMC Movie Theater - She's All That - Feb 5, 1999

2/5/99: My friend and I go to the local AMC to see the new movie 'Simply Irresistible' and because of our endless youthful energy we decide to follow it up with a midnight show of 'She's All That' (again). I have weird tastes and I loved that movie and saw it a lot. Afterwards soda's were dumped. I miss those old AMC policy trailers.

There was a lot of great movies released in 1999. The Blair Witch Project comes to mind, among many others. I lived just a few blocks from a now closed Regal Cinema that summer, and I think I saw more movies in the theater that year than any other year of my life. 1999 was a brutally hot summer down here in GA, and the theater was a nice escape from the horrible heat outside.

1999 went down as a legendary year for movies for my friend and I! There are movies in the bottom of my top 20 of 1999 that would be in my top 5 almost any other year. So much good stuff.

@@mistah_whiskahs There were some infamous duds that year too, such as "Wild Wild West" !!!! I tell you a stand out for me from 99 , and almost no one has seen it, is "The 13th Floor". It got terrible reviews, and tanked, but it absolutely rocked. If you like stuff like "12 Monkeys" , you will love it.......

My senior year of high school. Never saw those two movies but I did see Varsity Blues and Shakespeare in Love (overrated) in theaters at that time. Saw Cruel Intentions a month later, speaking of SMG. That is a quotable guilty pleasure.

This is recorded in 1999, but it seems to be using the 1994-1996 “Clip II” trailer instead of the 1996-2002 “Conductor” one! At least it’s using the 1996 version of the “Clip’s Big Fall” Silence is Golden snipe!

Yeah, This theater and AMC Granite Run used those old policy trailers all the way to the digital switchover in 2013. I'm glad I got it on tape though as I grew up with those trailers.
