I had no idea "The Adventures of Superman" was even ON Nick at Nite. Then again, I didn't really start watching classic TV until 1997 or so.

I'll admit, John Ratzenberger convinced me to buy that cereal, and it was my go-to cereal for quite a while. That Honey Bunches of Oats commercial must've been held over from the 80s! The laughter at the end seals the deal. "Your Way, Right Away at Burger King Now!" stuck with me. With the Whopper being 99¢ for most of the 90s, I'd wager it was #1 because it was cheap, and you could have it YOUR WAY. There were days that one Whopper was my only meal, and that was fine. Now Burger King is so disappointing! The Gillette Sensor...aren't there six blades on their latest new razor? I'm happy with the Mach 3.

The idea of a log as our state governor has sadly grown more realistic in the years since then 😂

KFC Honey BBQ Chicken. Talk about a blast from the past and delicious. Inflation sucks when looking at the prices for meals back then. Today a meal would be 4 to 5 dollars and much smaller portions.

15:24. INCREDIBLY Rare Nickelodeon Studios/Universal Studios Florida bumper. I think only this show used it.

This is the Nick-At-Nite I remember, when it still focused on '50s and '60s TV (with a few exceptions) and all the related kitsch. It had shows that were on when my parents were young. That would eventually become the atmosphere of TV Land, before that moved on as well. Now Nick-At-Nite has "Friends," "Full House," and "Two and a Half Men."

1992 was a good time for Nick at Nite. I watched Get Smart and Hi Honey I'm Home, that would show on ABC on Friday night then Nick at Nite would show the same episode on Sunday night as an "Instant Rerun". My mother's tampon? NO WAAAY! I remember that from Beavis & Butthead. Super Adventure Island was great. It had music from Yuzo Koshiro (Actraiser & Streets of Rage)

I also loved Nick at Nite during this time. ActRaiser and Streets of Rage are some of my favorite series and Yuzo Koshiro did an amazing job with what he contributed to the Shenmue soundtrack.

“In a close election in Illinois, Log has been elected as the state’s new governor.” Sounds about right.

the Rogaine ad-guy looks like a serial killer suspect lol Hi Honey I'm Home-never saw that show..im assuming the series finale(if there was one) involved the family from the 50s show being offered the chance to go back to it,but they chose to stay in the then present-day 90s

"Hi Honey, I'm Home" Oh wow... A sitcom about a family from the 50s Sitcom universe transplanted into the 90s. Like the movie Pleasantville in reverse. Terribly bad.
@YodaPagoda8 жыл бұрын
In the late 80s, there was a similar concept with "The Charmings," which transplanted Snow White and Prince Charming into modern-day Los Angeles. I'll admit though, it had its moments. I'd never heard of this other show until just now!

I still wonder why they never do a TV update of the Bewitched concept. It could work if they do it with a tongue in cheek style.
