90's Commercials Vol. 20

These commercials aired on local Fox affiliate KTVU on February 19th, 1990.
1. Whatchamacallit (One of my favorite commercials as a kid. I remember it playing all the time on Saturday mornings)
2. The Incredible Edible Egg (My dad actually has what borders on an egg phobia, so it's probably best not to ask him about them)

5. G.I. JOE (My mom always tried to keep me away from toy guns, so I always looked at these from afar)

7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Badges at Burger King (With Jonathan Taylor Thomas! I definitely remember having a few of these)
8. Flippits (What understated fashions)

The Whatchamacallit one is one of my top 5 favorite 90s commercial memories. Nice to see the original Thunder Jets one and the one with Flight the Magic Horse (pretty weird one, though). The Baby Bubbles doll however kind of grossed me out back in the day. But hey, more recently, they came up with a Barbie who walks her pooping dog, right?

@dgmc09productions Nothing in that commercial is false. Eggs are a great source of protein and contain several kinds of vitamins. If this is some sort of response to the salmonella crisis, that has more to do with poor standards in factory farming than it does with the actual nutritional content of eggs.

Each time I watch more and more of these commercial compilations, I am terrified over and over by the increasingly troubling variants on baby toys for girls. Its starting to feel agitating. *twitch* Still, I love these. Right now I'm playing the whole playlist of these 90's commercials from your channel through my Xbox 360, playing on my little HD-ready TV at a loop while I'm on my computer, its an awesome feeling.

OMG!!!! I had/was OBSESSED with oopsie Daisy!!!! That was my favorite doll ever!!!! (Besides newborn Nancy, but I had her in like 94/95) my worst day was when I took oopsie Daisy to school for show in tell, (it was kinder, so probably 91sh) and as I was getting off the bus to go home, her head fell off!!! We had to send her to get fixed and that was the longest 6-8 weeks of my life!! My older brother (he's like 10 years older, so was probably around 15) and older sis (she was around 13) like to remind me how annoying it was to hear "is oopsie daisy back?!" Every single day for 6-8 weeks. They love to tease me about it. I might still have her in my mom's attic ....

I remember the Thunder Jets and Burger King/TMNT commercials well. They were on different breaks from "Pee-wee's Playhouse". I remember because I had recorded several episodes on tape, but did not bother to edit out the commercials.

OMG! I remember Oopsie Daisy. I even had one...until she freaked me out to the point that I made my mom get rid of her. Looking back at her and the bubble baby, I don't regret my decision. Dolls in the 90s were seriously creepy. (And I definitely knew that was JTT right away!)

I miss Flippits so much! The only comparable thing I've found is those chocolate covered Jelly Bellies. The Beary Bears magic horse pieces were the best tasting ones in the pack. Well until the birthday cake slice pieces started showing up in the pouches. Beary Bears were probably one of my favorite fruit snack varieties growing up.
