The days when me and my brothers would go to blockbuster video and rent a movie on VHS. These moments are special to me.

That grape juice commercial really sent me back. Watched it one time at my grandpas house and I went to the fridge and well it was in there so i drank some. Best day ever.

Hooked On Phonics wow man. That takes me back. That was basically how I learned to read that and the school of rock tapes my mom used to have me watch. Ahhh the 90’s simpler times

People have been saying that for 10 years or more. Until they're actually gone, and all of their stores are closed...posting stuff like "RIP Kmart" is misinformation.
@DesignIncase4 жыл бұрын
@@80sCommercialVault Down to maybe 43 stores as of May during an ongoing pandemic that's devastating businesses? Yeah it's still in business and maybe this number of stores is enough. But it's certainly nowhere NEAR the powerhouse it was at the time of these commercials. Though no business lasts forever.
@80sCommercialVault4 жыл бұрын
I'm not suggesting that it is a powerhouse or that it isn't in dire financial straits. I'm trying to fight misleading comments that people commonly post here like "RIP Kmart", when the facts are that it's still in business and you can still go to their website and purchase stuff right now: www.kmart.com/ One of the biggest problems with moderating a youtube channel or basically anything on the internet these days is fighting the spread of false or misleading information. I take it seriously.

Pagers, pay phones with calling cards, ads introducing people to the Internet and what it can do...This was a unique time for sure. Kind of the early start of the tech boom, while older tech was still hanging on its last grasps.

The kid stuttering and then delivering "I would like a table for Christmas" was an incredible plot twist. It's one of the most pure, unguessable requests.

All these 1994 Christmas commercials reminds me I want to upload the stuff on my tape with the Flintstones Christmas Carol, mostly consisting of Mattel commercials, and it features one of my favorite Pizza Hut commercials on it, which surprisingly hasn't been uploaded to youtube. If ever manage to get any of that stuff copied I'd try to send it to you.

Seaquest DSV-since NBC/Universal is launching a streaming service they maybe should look into rebooting this..bu only if its along the lines of the first season Days Of Our Lives-shocking they laid off virtually the entire cast Toys R Us-those Star Trek movie toys mustve tied-in with Generations
@mione1345 жыл бұрын
Days of Our Lives got renewed. The cast new about the contract thing. Its all good.
@bethdibartolomeo20424 жыл бұрын
I'd love a rebooted SeaQuest, though it'd have to be updated since we've actually passed the timeline of the start of the series (2018). God, and it still seemed so far in the future back in 1993. RIP Roy Scheider and Jonathan Brandis.

Who is that announcer in the first commercial?
@80sCommercialVault3 жыл бұрын
It's the late Don Pardo, better known as the announcer for SNL from 1975-2014. Please read the video description.
