I love to watch this vlog..my mother had similar tips for hair care and skin care..she never allowed me to use shampoo and soap..daily she used my hair with handful of home made oil viz. Shoe flower, shoe flower leaves, dry amla, curry leaves rose petals with coconut oil before I went to school..she made me to take oil bath every tuesday and friday though we stayed at Delhi..wash with moong dal, dry amla, shoe flower leaves - all soaked overnight and grind by mixie in morning with pne teapoon shikhakai..for skin care, she made besan, turmeric powder and milk while taking bath..for winter shr made me to put some coconut oil after bath on my body to avoid dry skin..she made me to eat lots of green leafy vegetables and carrot..I am 54 now and my hair is still black.. everyone think I use to dye my hair but I never dye hair..so they are very surprised..my mother is no more..she passed away at age of 53 (now 91 if she were alive) due to pancreas cancer when I was 17..when I see this 90 years old amma, it remind me lots of memories..thank you Gita mami to bring me sweet memories through this vlog..love you and hugs to you 🥰😍

Thank you for sharing all this Amma , such gems I lost my mom last yr at 60 miss her everyday last month also while cooking hot oil splattered on my face n neck even then the first words tht came to my mouth were Amma ( they stay with us from first breathe till last breathe in our thoughts n mind ) My paternal grandma is 86 she’s also very pretty n maintains herself well but whn we ask she doesn’t like to share much , I always felt it would be do valuable for all of us if only she shared some Knick knacks but anyways thanks to people like u Gita Maa we still get to learn n access this wisdom. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻very Thankful for u So talented she is wow , my mom also used to do a lot of these things n crochet n made sweaters , hats , skirts n booties for babies too … I wish I had taken time to learn all her skills. Our sincere regards to your Mum Aunty🙏 How much I learnt from your mum today . Thank you so much for such a valuable conversation with your mum. Remembering my Late Mum a lot as she used to give me the same oil mixed with dried hibiscus flowers and Amla oil in it and the shikakai powder she used to give it to the machine outside with all different ingredients in it. Also she used to soak fenugreek seeds and apply that paste on my hair before hair wash. That's why my hair is so long and healthy I believe. Gitaji Namaste.So wonderful to get the seasoned &helpful knowledge from Amma.My sincere regards to her. The Hibiscus flower is called 'Javakusum' in Hindi.Bengalis use this hair oil a lot. Bengal Chemicals used to sell this oil and Amla hair oil which were of excellent quality. Another good hair oil is 'Neeli Bhringaadi Thailam' sold by Kottaikal Pharmacy(probably @Coimbatore)
