Cool truck ! It's unique and I like how the rear tires are tucked under a few inches. I'm used to seeing gassers with the rear tires hanging out with trimmed quarter panels.

I dig everything gasser. That low in the back looks like the weight has already shifted, and the chin out front axle bruiser, effect lke a boxer is awesome cool. Gassers are the only cars that really display ATTITUDE. I cant wait until some hollywood director gets cool enough to put the hero of the movie in a gasser for the car chase.

A seriously cool video and a very cool truck. Love the fact that there is still plenty of stock stuff still there mixed with the right amount of aftermarket goodies. I'm currently doing a resto-mod on a '66 Chevy C-10 Custom pickup. After seeing this video, it just made me want to turn up the heat on my project to get it done without any distractions. I have just subscribed as well.

I got one just like it but it's a long bed 63 I painted flat black with the I've got the full disc baby moons on it with a a running a 301 in it with the 274 Craig cam and cruising it punched 283 like they did in the 50s the 60s

They left a few holes for character and this motor was far from cheap. 9’s in the 1/4 doesn’t exactly suck 😂

AutotopiaLA you are right. No doubt its the faster option. I had a 65 C10 that i swapped a stick into and hot rodded but nothing to this level. I love seeing the look of an old gasser on a C10. You dont see it as much.

That's how gassers are built. The theory is that helps transfer weight to the rear on take off for better traction. It's something they started in the 1950's. Tires were not great then so this was one technique to try to hook up better.

“Big blocks don’t like RPM”. Really? Tell that to all the big block drag racers who routinely turn 900+ CI engines to 8000+ RPM and. HIS engine may be RPM limited by the set up (heads, cam, intake) but to say that all big blocks can’t turn high RPM is simply not true.
