900mhz Radio with 1.3ghz VTX Possible? (Better than 5.8ghz??)

I have listed the US and International Versions of the VTX below BUT you should know that the international version on Banggood is much better since it has 9 channels while the US version only has 2.. Obviously I recommend the international version since it goes into freq further away from the 900mhz link giving you cleaner video and more range.. The Receivers are the same so it doesn't matter where you buy that. Make sure whatever you order is legal in your country before ordering.

I used this combo out to 14kms on my old channel using chainlink uhf $189. (Dragonlink was $400) and the huge 1.2ghz metal cased vtx's $25. excellent in trees too. I took metal cases off vtx no issue with heat on a quad. Get the 1.2 antenna up on top you will go 5x as far and have signal turning around. TBShit is just repacked general components with tweaking, cost wise just as cheap as emax stuff.

There is no comparison between a 1.5 Diversity setup w/CP antennas vs. a 5.8 setup. This is a poor comparison but if it keeps people off 1.3 I'm fine with it.

The antenna supplied with it sucks. Try the vas bluebeam pro or true RC 1.3. much better experience but yes more for planes

You’re right the antenna on the quad isn’t exactly optimal! I’m sure with a blue beam or similar Omni type antenna on the kwad there’d be significantly better vidz!

2.4 doesn’t have much of an advantage over 5.8 esp in object penetrationplus the whole country uses it for WiFi haha Maybe that’s where your interference is comin from? I used to fly the furious 2.4 on my quads like 18 months ago but it really wasn’t worth it.. I’d say 1.3 is like 20% better than 2.4 and 2.4 is like 15% better than 5.8 😂 still rapidfire is the best option for me unless I want to long range or smthn

@@MaxBeamer well i wouldn't even say better between 2,4 and 5,8......it depends where i fly but with 2,4 the video isn't as clear as on 5,8 in most cases. but i also never took the 5,8 system as far out as the 2,4 (9km)

You need to try a CP antenna with 1.3. Also your vtx antenna should go the other way. Arrow pointing to you

I tried a few other things but I like rapid-fire too much, if they ever make 1.3 with image restoration ill be the first in line haha. Still good for long range with a ground station or something tho.

@@slavikarg You can connect 2 1.3 receivers to a diversity controller for a lot less. I think Range Video still sells one for $150. A diversity setup on 1.3 is incredible for close in freestyle. Its what we all flew back in the beginning, before 5.8 became so plug n play.

You need a Groundstation with 1.2g with a low power 5.8g relay to your Goggles. Those filters are killing you...See my channel to see how it's done on a quad...

Not good using Vee antenna on quad if you have big angle of roll/pitch.You must use dipole or clever,but clever very big size. And antenna placed far from other equipment uav's. I have ~15km on 1.2G/0,5w/dipoles both ends far from the city,NOT mountains. 15km without directional antenna and this is not limit!
