I grew up in the up and first off I have to say I loved the video, and I love Brook Trout fishing. I have grown up fishing brook trout in the up and its hard to say if i have mastered a technique at catching them yet or not but I do consider them to be the hardest fight fish # per # of any fish and equally as hard to find. I have been searching for big brookies in the up throughout my work traveling in the power industry for the last 10 years and it has been very productive the fish are here. Take it from someone who knows you just have to put in the effort to get the big ones.

Great video. I think you summed it up. It's that unspoiled habitat. Brookies thrive in that kind of environment. It is my favorite fishing also.

Great show. I have a question. You fish and wade down stream? Isn't it more common to fish up stream?

In some parts of the show we fished upstream first but then fished back downstream instead of walking the bank and not fishing.
