I had the pleasure of actually meeting and talking with Warren a couple of times and really is a genuinely nice guy. He even thanked us for supporting his music and said the fans are what drive him to be a musician. What really separates Warren Haynes from most musicians is that he is a true artist with unquestionable musical integrity. This is a man who would never make any music for any other reason than being genuine and having real soul. I believe that all real artists are never satisfied with living in their comfort zone and are always trying to evolve and have no fear of failure. Once an artist becomes stagnant and stop pushing themselves into unexplored territory outside their comfort zone, they're either all tapped out or comfortable with settling for mediocrity. I once heard Warren say in an interview that he has always strived to play with the best musicians out there because he is always seeking to challenge himself to keep growing as an artist and musician. I'm really happy for him finally getting some of the recognition he deserves, but I sometimes selfishly feel that for longtime fans, "outsiders" are intruding on our own little private club. I am sure Warren is aware of this, and I don't ever see him going mainstream because he will never compromise his music. I believe he is truly happy just knowing the respect he has among his peers and the love he gets from his fan base. He also now has a young son, but I suspect Warren won't slow down and soon start taking him on the road along with his wife Stephanie. One last thing. I was really saddened when I heard about the passing of Danny Farmer. I had the opportunity to hang out with him a couple of times, and he was a really cool guy. I still have a picture of him with his arm around my neck while wearing a T shirt that said "I'm not Warren". In my mind, Warren Haynes is already a living legend, and I believe that many years from now a lot of music lovers will regret not having the opportunity of seeing him perform live, whether it was with the Mule, ABB, the Dead, and now Railroad Earth. If Warren is performing anywhere within 250-300 miles from my home, I usually manage to get there even if I have to go solo. I was too young to see Jimi Hendrix, but ever since I was a teenager, I've tried to see every great band out there and I've managed to see most of them. If Warren or the Mule is playing in your town and you don't go to the show, its your loss because you'll miss the opportunity of watching (especially in the Mule's case) one of the best live rock bands out there. Once you see Govt Mule live, you'll be hooked for life unless you showed up expecting some lame act like Justin Beber, Taylor Swift, or some other "flavor of the month" trained monkey" act. If you want loud badass in your face hard rock performed by extraordinary talented musicians, this is for you. Hell, you know that any band who sells their own brand of rolling papers ( Mule Skins ) at their shows has to have something cool going on. Long live Warren Haynes and Long live the Mule.

Love this album and had the opportunity to see the show from this tour in Milwaukee. Incredible show!!!! It's a don't miss. Matter of fact I'd love to see it again. As usual with Warren he is so creative and brings out the best in those around him. I will always make it a point to make his shows no matter who he is playing with.

Wow. I think this resonates with a lot of people. Never wanted to be, but ended up being. 14:15 "So I got hired on at the local factory / Couldn't see a prude in my whole family / Never thought I'd be startin' over at this stage / Takin' crap from some punk.. half my age ... Never wanted to be no company man." Great, heartfelt, sad but true song about working life. *Going to go listen to Rush "Working Man" now* (!!!)
